G36K Mods...

Alright, so right now I have a stock Classic Army G36K + Long rails and vertical front grip (see signature picture). Now, basically what I want to do over time is set it up to look something like this:

In a nutshell, G36C carry handle/top rail, and an Eotech+Magnification sight setup...

I'm just wondering how efficient this would be? I prefer outdoor, but I hear Eotech is the way to go, since I can either remove or flip aside the magnification scope for indoor... Ideas? Suggestions?

For some crazy reason I was under the impression that thing you have infront of the eotech was a 30mm red dot sight...

Same thing... because on the pixel gun it is the case...

Anyways.. good luck.

I have a Star G36K and it is a pain in the A to find a flat top handle...under 100$ for a metal one..

Actually I try to get a hold of a flat top...

And I have to swap a lot of parts for CQB setup (outdoors: 36KE outter, 550mm inner and 200mm Silencer, 3-9x40 scope... CQB: G36K barrel + flashhider, Aimpoint)

I hope someone will eventually make a proper G36 carry handle with dual optics. IMHO, it's the carry handle that makes the G36 look great. I don't like the look of the top rail on it.

Someone did. I can't remember who but they did...might have been G&P? Doesn't matter anyway; they don't make them anymore. Personally, I think they're ugly. I much prefer the E-style handles, but I'm picky about dumb stuff like that.

the Star 3.5x scope is not worth it... REALLY not...

I have one and I will change it to a flat rail of a 36C instead... and mount whaterver I want...

The Star carry handle isn't.

How practical is a Classic Army G36 (CA36) for the occasional CQB?
I am struggling to decide whether i should get the Classic Army G36 or the Classic Army G36K.
I want one gun for wood play and occasional snipping and CQB.
I heard people saying the g36 is kind big for CQB but with the stock folded it is around 30 inches right? and the Thompson is around 32 inches and i think the Thompson is good for CQB.
So anyone with first hand experience with the G36 please advise me whether the Classic Army G36 is practical for CQB
Thanks

The g36 with folded stock is the same length as a M4 with a retracted stock. So if you are comfortable with a M4 in CQB...

You can just do the same as I do...

Get a K, then buy a KE long outerbarrel and swap when you want to go outside...

Anyways, the K cylinder is already full, you can have a 550mm barrel with the same cylinder (stock barrel is 495 I think)

That is what I will do.

And if you get a Star, you can swap the spring very quickly without openning the meckbox. Takes about 5 min.

So to swap, you just have to remove handguard, remove 3 screws, swap the whole barrel set.
Then remove mechbox and swap the spring.

I got the K because it's short enough to handle in CQB with the stock extended. I prefer outdoor, and the K shines out there as well...
