ICS split-mechbox FNC....
As reported by FarEast on Arnies:
"Right now the ICS FN FNC is in the processes of completing the design process and these images are of the final prototype. ICS has invested more money in to research and development to bring us the best products at reasonable prices and have invested in new machinery to do so. The prototype you see was developed on the new Rapid Prototyping Machine and made from polycarbonate resign, which really saves time and money on development."

so the prototype is made out of resin, but the real version will be full metal like the rest of their guns correct?

Yes, they make the prototype from resin to check fit and finish for parts, since the rapid prototyping machine works similar to the 3-axis mill you would use to mill metal parts.
I am unsure how much metal content the final product will have, and whether it will be steel, aluminum, pot metal, or magnesium alloy.

It most likely will be made from metal.
The above picture is a prototype made with a 3D printer. I used to manage a rapid prototyping department and this exactly the type of stuff we used to do (unfortunatly it wasn't for airsoft though) The resin's/powders used in R.P. would not hold up to field use.
