Systema Ideas

So yes, as some of you know I'm selling my CA SR-25 and my WA 1911 SCW to gather up the last bunch of cash to buy a Systema PTW MAX M4A1 for X-Mas!

Now I'm looking at a lot of websites to figure out "what will I do to customize it?"...

I have *some* idea's but i want to hear your idea's also. So, if you had/have a Systema PTW MAX M4A1, what would YOU do with it?

What I'm looking to change/add:
A red dot.
Front Handguard RIS/something different than the usual.
Accessories.

So yeah... any idea's?

Haha Yeah it does come very close to hitting the 'perfect' button but it's not quite there for me. Needs a bit more 'tacticalness'

In that case you're not looking for tactical. You're looking for tacticool. Entirely different animal. While one is from the genus practicalus, the other is from the mutt breed poseur.

here is what I am doing, simple and practicle....

AR15/M16 Carry Handle Mounted Rail for my reddot or Eotech "still debating which one" I know people are going to say why not take the rail off, but, I like the rail, kind of old school look...

45 degree Picatinny rails for AR15/M16/M4 to mount my Surefire G2 LED

and my favorite....TangoDown Battle grip variant...

As a rule, if you don't know what you need it's cuz you don't need it.

When you actually need something, you'll know.

figure out what impression you'd like to do, then hunt down the gear and gun bits to make it perfect.

just read Speacial Weapons or similiar magazines and you'll have enought ideas and go to your Army Surplus Store or Gunshop and order from them...Do not do like I did....I ordered an Eotech 552 from the US (go figure they are 200$ cheaper there); however, I almost got in trouble, and not I never got it but got a refund (thank goodness).... :smack:

The ultimate expression of PTW love is to hunt down some rare and expensive aftermarket parts to hang on your new toy. Find the most obscure rail system you can (Troy Industries, Surefire, Viking Tactical) and get a super-cool sighting system, like a Trijicon TriPower or EoTech 553. Then throw on some bits and bobs like GG&G iron sights or a Badger Tactical charging handle latch, and you're set.
