M4-> HK416 Mod
Hey guys do you have have any sugestions on converting a TM M4 into an HK 416? I'm a bit short on funds being that its Cristmas soon so I can't really shell out major $$$ on another AS gun, but I really like the look of the 416. I found some pictures of an M4 SIR that has an HK body but its' still a bit diffrent as you'll see from the pictures. Ideas guys?

It won't look like a 416 unless you have at least the 416 front end, that attempt at a 416 above fails miserably. Unfortunately the front end isn't available anywhere. You would have to buy the Hurricane Hk416 kit which costs more than most AEG's.

I know,I was looking at one on on AA, I'm tempted but I'm pretty sure my GF would kill me.

You could always order the new Echo 1 416 (coming out in early-mid December) and just cannibalize the body. I heard it's going to be full steel aswell.

it doesnt even look remotly like a 416, all i see is an s-sytem in the first pic. you need the grip sights and front end to call it a 416 at the very least.

I thought about doing that but if I was to buy an actual 416 why wouldint i just use it as is? Kinda like buying a Nissan S15 just to take the front end and slap it on my Nissan 240 to make it look the same. kind kills the point don't you think? The reason i'm trying to mod my current gun is just due to lack of funds.

If you are short on cash get the cheaper Jing Gong HK416. They are not completly accurete but good enough if you want the 416 look. The HK416 is all propriatary in design, it just looks like an m4. HK changed everthing up just a little to make sure not to get anymore lawsuits(like when it was called the HK M4). This makes clone bretty hard to make. I am about to post pics of mine now If you wanna look for em'. but yea go for teh Jing Gong I think they are already selling them.

Thats great. with those parts that "THINH" posted there you can pretty much build a 416 with an M4. Although that handguard seems a bit long or is it just me?
HK-Guy: where can I get that Jing Gong HK416 in Canada? How much are those going for? And are they metal body or plastic?

I tried to build an HK417 out of a G&P SR-25 and that RIS doesn't look right at all when you look at the details. Awesome looking it is, HK416/417 looking it isn't.
