Pro-Win gearbox compatibility
Would a pro-win 7mm gearbox be compatible with a G&G M16, because websites don't make it clear as to which guns it will fit in. I would appreciate it someone could possibly help me with this. Also if someone has used one of these or installed one I would very much appreciate it if somebody could tell me what type of "custom modifications" it needs in order to fit within the gun.
Thanks a lot, ROF_Madman |

if it uses a V2 gearbox, then it should be fine.
If anything you may need to dremel the inside of the lower reciver a bit in key areas for it to fit right.

check with the maufecture. My guarder was a pain in the ass. just trade some one for a G&P. it its the easyst or a hurricane.
when you get it it has a CDROM that shows you were to file and there is ALLOT of it. This is a job best suited for a dremil or a milling machine if you have one. i have about 5000 (400fps) rnds through mine and it looks mint still.

The Pro-Win can be fitted with pretty much ANY metal receiver, but ALL receivers will require some modifications for installation. The instruction CD it comes with contains the details on what areas you will generally need to keep an eye on for assembly. Look at the sample photos for ALL models they provide examples for, generally, some or all of those mods will be required on all receivers. Both the upper and lower receivers will need to be modified.
The modifications are MUCH faster and easier if you have access to a mill, otherwise, a dremel tool fitted with Dremel tool #115 was invaluable for me, along with a flat file to make the cuts smooth. Although the modifications required are destructive, the receiver is still downward compatible and can still use standard gearboxes.
