AK Not Feeding

This has to happen just before Border Wars....

After installing my new Pro-Win hop-up into my AK, I have found that it will not feed BBs into the inner barrel. They feed into the chute, but no further. When installing the hop-up I did make a bit of an error. I didn't see that the unit slipped over the forward screw of the mechbox. The cage that would have slipped into place got mashed a bit. After some dremel work, it fit fine without. So here is what I've got as to why it may not be feeding:

1) Warped the hop-up unit trying to jam it in place.
2) Not enough material dremeled out, hop-up is sitting at an angle in relation to the mechbox and nozzle.
3) Pro-Win unit is not compatible with stock tappet plate.
4) Gun is FUBAR, time to sell it. God I hope not....

Anyway, any information and/or reassurance is appreciated. Thanks folks.

Clear the gun, flip it over in your lap, drop a couple drops of silly oil into the loading chute, dry fire a few times then try firing it. Hop up units need periodic lubing, and more so with new rubber because the rubber is sticky when new and won't allow BBs to pass into the barrel.

Last time I checked RA praised the Pro-Win as one of the best after market hopup units. I'd have to agree; I installed mine in a practically stock TM gearbox and it seems to be feeding excellently, so it shouldn't have any problems.

I'd check the nozzle and see if it's actually moving inside of the hopup unit, that might prevent it from feeding properly (although that'll be a bit hard to check when it's all attached) and possibly check the part where the two screws are locking the hopup unit down to the lower reciever and check if it's warped out of position.
