Sniper Trigger Guard
Ok so i bought a G&P Sniper Triger Guard (altho it say's Knights on the package...) and for the love of god i cannot take the old one off my CA25...
Their's a pin in the back that needs to be taken off, i tried with gentleness... then with a hammer and it WON't budge, not even a milimeter... WTF? Am i doing something wrong here?? |

Theres only one way it can come out haha I just took an a nail then hammered it be careful make sure u support the body and what not wouldnt want to crack the part, once i see it, vice grip it and pull, yes your gonna break the pin but its ok they give u another one

Just like he said, a small finishing nail, that will go right through the hole, but catch onto the pin, hold the gun on the end of a desk or table firm, and smack... worked for me with the trigger guard and sling loop.

Get a proper punch to tap it out, or at least cut the point off your nail otherwise the point can (and usually will) drive into the roll pin and could widen it, making it stick in there even tighter.
Assuming you hammered that mother like a real man, and the CA body is metal AFAIK, stick your lower into the freezer for an hour (might wanna take the mechbox out) then use a punch to tap the roll pin out. Make sure you support the receiver properly when hammering.

What about a couple drops of 1.5wt oil? Will that help take it out?
I don't feel like freezing the receiver^^ |

Oil might help... but from my experience when something's stuck, freezing and tapping works best. Stuff that wouldn't budge when I was hammering like a maniac comes out with a pretty light tap after freezing (the metal contracts, everything loosens up, like that hot-ish but stern blond from the office after a bottle-- err, wait that's another story)

I had a bitch of a time with mine too (was scared I would crack off the receiver's trigger mount)... I finally ended up using a small hex key that was the same diameter as the hole. Smack the hex key with a hammer firmly, and the pin should give - once it moves a little, it comes out easy with pliers on the other end or more smackin'... I know how you feel though - it's frustrating!

Well my friend just cracked HIS SR-16 body trying to install his new trigger guard... I'm just gonna leave it like this... i'm not gonna tempt installing a $10 peice on a $300ish metal body.
