Talking in big red letters makes it ideal to make your point.

On a more serious note. I think that the Mah is what changes your RoF. But don't quote me on that.

It would work fine, given the ROF issue that you're already aware of. But also be aware that the lower voltage will cause the motor to draw more current to turn over the spring.

As an example (these are not actual numbers, this is just for example): if an 8.4v 2200mAh battery required 1mAh to turn over the spring, a 7.2v battery would require 2mAh. On the other end of the spectrum, a 9.6v battery would require 0.75mAh. I recall reading somewhere the draw rate is on a curve, not linear - the motors most efficient voltage is around 8.4v or 9.6v depending on the capacity of the battery pack. The higher voltage push allows the motor to operate without having to pull as much current. At the same time, too much voltage can exceed the motors electrical limitations. Someone more skilled with motors can probably shed more light on that particular issue.

Thank you alot. That helps, so I should be able to fire off "around" 1000 or so BB's? thats ok because I wont be gaming for a while, I'm new and i'll just be target practicing in my backyard. (After consulting neighbours)

If you live in suburbia, it's a really bad idea to snap shots off in your backyard. Setup a good BB trap in your basement for garanteed privacy, so long as you use curtains.

Still, I'd setup a basement range, you never know.

Just be careful when/if you upgrade your spring. I could still crank back a PDI 170 with a semi-decent ROF on a 7.2V, but it would jam up occassionally if I stopped the cylce when the spring was 99% cocked.

The 7.2V 4200mAh pack I used to have gave the same ROF as an 8.4V 2400mAh pack in any of my guns including my 390fps upgraded G36. What I generally found is that 7.2V 4200mAh = 8.4V 2400mAh = 9.6V 1100mAh for ROF purposes.

Why not? I can do that with my minis too.

When people use 1 shot per 1mAh, that's just a very very very rough baseline, and is not the rule.
