M14

I was about to buy a CA m14 match from a store, when the guys recommended not to because the CA m14's are having problems with their insides etc. I want a great gun that lasts a long time and has parts that are interchangeable and can have multiple accessories. They suggested and USE the AGM m14. Iv'e tested it and held it its a solid gun and they really recommended it. (they must be telling the truth they convinced me to but a gun thats $150 USD cheaper that what i was going to buy! Does anyone have this gun or know anything about it? I am going to buy one soon and i was wondering if the shop guys know what they are talking about.

Also how are the KING ARMS m14 mags? i think they work on this gun i am looking at the 110 round mags.

Thanks and much appreciated.

Ive worked on the AGM m14 , 2 people on my team have one. Its a replica of the TM m14, but made cheaper. Less trade marks and such, but thats all cosmetic. the wood finish actually looks nicer than the TM one.

Internals wise, it uses TM internals for the most part, and everything is interchangable EXCEPT the tappet plate. its a bit shorter than the TM tappet plate. with a little shaving, you can modify a TM tappet to fit the AGM. As far as i know, you could drop in a TM gearbox and it would work just fine.

Battery wise, agm ships the gun wired backwards, with a battery to match. Unfortunately, the battery is the only drawback to the gun. the compartment is very small and only fits a mini. im sure with a dremel you could hollow it out more to fit a large.

All in all, its a Very good gun for a new player, and has lots of room for upgrading. however, after youve upgraded it all, you might as well have bought the TM m14.

oh, and the King Arm mags fit in the gun, but dont feed right. you have to shave off a bit of the feeding lip to fix it. its a common issue and a more detailed solution can be found on this site. search it.

Er, you're kinda between a rock and a hard place with those two. Either a first-run CA that might or might not have bugs to work out, or TM14 clone that is a little odd because it actually takes v3 gearbox parts. I've heard good and bad things about both, though I've only had a chance to work with a KART M14 so far. On that note, it's worth making sure whether you're getting a KART (there's a RAS at the front sling point) or an AGM (no such RAS).

Personally, I'd take the CA14, but that's because I trust CA's external build quality, the eventual arrival of CA locaps and my own ability to troubleshoot any mechanical problems it throws at me.

Mags made for TM14 sometimes don't fit properly in clones, but it's nothing an exacto knife won't fix.

Well unfortunetly there isnt to much I can offer you for info on the AGM M14, I see alot of AGM on american retailer websites for very low prices then again all airsoft in the states compared to that of Canada is low priced, but I have never held a AGM myself, from what I understand they are TM clones, or so I hear. Im assuming your from the states though. Atleast I hope so, since if you intend on ordering from the states, customs will seize the package and have it destroyed. The temptation of ordering from the states due to cost is very high I can admit, but its basically eqaul to that of throwing the money into a fire. If you are from the states though, by all means go ahead and go about your business of ordering. How ever I can tell you that King Arms does make very decent magazines, as for if the magazines are compatable that maybe something you should inquire at the retailer you are dealing with.

I don't know about the agm but If you have the chance to buy a TSD go for it. It's a very fine gun once you've fix the magazine probleme (i'll post dsomthing on it soo). As for the estetic side it look far better than the T Ive seen. The firts thing people say when they see my gun is usualy: Oh you've put a wood kit.

As for th e KA mags, I'm having a lot of trouble with them theses days but it migth be some dirt form the shreding id've done on them.

TSD is rebranded KART, despite what Buyairsoft.ca says. But yes, clone M14's wood stocks are actually better looking than the Marui's.

If you buy it for collection, choose TM. Buy it for game, AGM. I used to have both of them, sigh. TM is heavier than KART/CYMA M14.

I know the AGM M14 comes with a rail, I was just wondering if it is a 20mm or not.

Im personally running a CA M14 MATCH and have had no problems with the internals, in fact when upgrading it, 90% of the internals were better than what I was told to upgrade them with.

its always 20mm. I don't think any airsoft guns uses 3/8 inch dovetail rails.

anyways. For me, I'd go with the TM M14 Fiber OD version. I just really trust the internals of the gun. But for such a price, AGM is also a great choice. I mean, you get everything you need, BAM!. But upgrades will probably use up most of ur money at the end.

If you are actually REALLY on a tight budget, just got with the AGM, and don't upgrade.

If you have money to burn. Buy the TM, You always have a quality guarantee going with TM.

The simple truth is that none of the other guns compare to the TM 14 version. They look the same but are worlds apart in preformance, relyability and durability. I have had my TM 14 for about 2yrs now, I have held and tested the other manifactures version of it and it dosn't come close. The TM is fairly heavy but thats due to the fact that other than the stock it is all metal. Accuracy is unbeleviable, I routinly act as the counter sniper on my team and rackup the kills using this baby. Also in the time i've had this beast it has NEVER ONCE FAILED ............EVER trying saying that about the others. I won't lie the gun is long and it does take some getting use to moving in the bush. However with some practice and time you become one of the most feared players on the feild

TSD is a "tune shop" out of California. They don't make their own shit, just modify, rebrand (sometimes) , and warranty.

Nothing more, nothing less.

I have an AGM. It came with a LARGE battery. Fits perfectly fine, so I don't know what Zekk is talking about. I love my M14. Its damn solid/heavy, accurate and powerful, and a great rate of fire with the stock battery. All metal with full rotating bolt is awesome, and the fake wood is quite convincing.

Definitely recommended.
