Broken Motor connectors
Hey guys:
I was just trying to install a new mechbox/motor (Systema Turbo Kit) on an M4 and I bent the motor connectors at the end of the wire coming from the gearbox the wrong way so it split in half. Any tips on how to replace/fix this part? Any soldering involved? I just looked very closely at the connector and it seems like there's no soldering at all. |

Canadian Tire.
Automotive Department Fuse/connector/electrical section MotoMaster female disconnects, 22-18 AWG, .110" tab. That's what you need to look for. |

Best way to install exactly what ILLusion just said is to crimp them on, cut the plastic housing off, bend in place, and heat shrink tube the entire end to prevent short's and protection.

Thanks!
Thanks for all the replies guys! I ordered a Prometheus Gold Motor Connector Set so i'll see how it goes.
Thanks again! So to get this straight....No soldering is required to connect the motor connectors?? We just need to crimp the connector onto the mechbox wire? Last edited by mitchie; August 7th, 2007 at 02:28.. |
