What is the best barrel metal?
Couldnt think of a better word than "metal" but i've been looking at some tightbores, and i was wondering which was the best. KM has a titanium barrel, Prometheus and Systema have reinforced Aluminum, and i think guarder has a brass barrel.

I'm pretty sure that KM's barrel only has a titanium coating.
Prometheus is made of stainless steel (I have one and have installed many, it's a very good tightbore). |

It's definitly Titanium coating.
Any tightbore of equal size will give you about the same result, until it gets railed (scratched). Also with a tightbore, the quality fo the round is very important.

Systema 6.04 - Brass
KM 6.04 - Brass with Magical coating Mad Bull 6.03 - Aluminum with Magical coating Classic Army 6.04 - Brass or Stainless Steel (they cant make up their minds, recent releases seem to be mostly brass) Star 6.05 - Brass Prometheus/Laylax/NineBall 6.03 - Stainless Steel PDI 6.01- Stainless Steel Deep Fire 6.02/6.04 - Stainless Steel Guarder 6.04 - Brass with "Lucid Chromium Plating" Classic Army and Deep Fire are the best bang for the buck, I've used many of them with no problems. Systema, KM and Prometheus are great but the cost is up there. |

Personally I'd go for a stainless material, simply because if you get a grain of sand or two in your barrel and you shoot, it has much less chance of scratching the polished interior than any of the brass or aluminum models.

I've looked at stock brass (CA and TM), systema, KM, madbull and prometheus. It's hard to tell but you look inside the barrel and you can see the consistency of their cut, prometheus has been the best so far and stainless steel is far tougher than aluminum and brass so it wont deform/bend as easily

The prometheus barrels are a good 2mm thick as well, makes them very stiff. And it IS in fact stainless, I know because had to buy the 534mm (or whatever length it was, the SIG552 one) and have it milled down to 515mm to fit in my CA M24, and it stayed the same colour inside as it does outside.
