CA M15A4 Carbine
Hey all,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if the CA M15A4 Carbine from A&A airsoft comes with a battery or if you need to purchase it. Thanks, Blitz |

You will have to purchase a battery and a charger if
you do not have one. |

Ok. Thanks.
Any idea what the battery life on the CA M15A2 rifle is? |

All depends on what size and type of battery you get. Quality of charge, upgrades you do.
What battery size are you planning on running? Planning on any upgrades or running stock? |

The brand of battery may also come into play when you are talking about the battery life. Since the original poster wants to get a Classic Army M15A4 Carbine, I think he is referring to the Mini type batteries.

It's going to be stock for awhile no need for anything else at this point. I can't seem to find anything about the size of battery the m15a2 carbine takes. Does it take large or mini or both?

It takes batteries with a Mini connector
I would recommend sticking with an 8.4V battery if your keeping it stock since thats what its rated for. Anything over that you will get some pretty insane ROF, but I wouldnt recommend it unless you plan on upgrading your spring and stuff and want to keep your ROF.

I wanna keep it around the 310-330 FPS range just to start things out.

A&A has updated their stock values, does that mean he's got them instock or just ordered them and on its way?
Why I ask, because I placed a pre-order for one myself and I noticed the amounts have been updated! |

Sloppy rule of thumb is that a stock gun will get about 1 shot per mAh, but since every gun has different power demands, you'll need to actually shoot it and see. Best idea would be to purchase two small battery packs and see from there.

My M15 with a prom ms120 spring gets about 16 midcaps (85rndmags) from a 9.6v 3300MaH NIMH battery, I have a crane stock.

My M15A4 shot 315 FPS with 0.20g BBS staight out of the box.

What MaH should I be looking at?

8.4 1400 mAh would be a good start.
(I also suggest you look at getting a discharger as well.. to help keep your batteries alive longer. Its a slightly larger inital startup cost but its worth it. Or just opt for a slightly better Charger like an RC car charger. ) Last edited by Rugger_can; July 26th, 2007 at 12:37.. |
