Ok, in my search for a good price, metal secondary weapon i have found the 'Star M4A1 Carbine AEG'.

Does anyone own one? What can you tell me about it?

'Real feel' (Not toy like feel) As much metal as possible w/o dishing out huge amount of money
Reliability

Thoughs? Suggestions? <3

Take the price you see on what ever site you were looking at, then double it and thats what it will cost in Canada. If you are really set on it, a few things to watch out, STAR's motor sucks huge ass, it will burn out quickly. Their internals are also not up to TM standard (but then again, what stock internals found in any other gun are?)

Well, I bet he's bound to upgrade it. Judging by the gearbox its very easy to upgrade if you done V2 mechbox before. I would grab one too if i'm potentially going to upgrade to the max with it. Once you done that you can easily swap the springs for your perference or depending on the field.

Unlike other mechbox you couldn't do that and you would have to swap entire gearbox, unless you had PTW :P

A STAR rifle will most likely be just as expensive as a TM.

airsoft is pricey, but once you got your stuff its darn cheap. Paintball is freaken pricey, having to waist 25-100+ per game is alot, while airsoft is 25$ you got 3k pellets, depeding on your shooting habits it can last a hell of a long time. 3k paintballs goes for 150$ when your a member on a field.

Add to that the paintball gas cans, field fees and other fees whatsoever.

Airsoft, if you don't intend on collecting or upgrading too much you spend an initial 1000$ and the rest is cheap bananas; 25$ for the BBs and 20$ for the field fee. That's not much compared to paintball. So overall airsoft is cheap in the long run but may cost alot when starting depending on what you want.
