My Cheap MP5

Just to let you people know, if anybody was following my past thread about the cost of my gear (that got trashed because of a silly foreign flamer) and my cheap MP5, this is just to describe what happened on June 9th.

Saturday was my first ever Airsoft game. As I was packing up to leave for Regina, my Glock was already fucked, so whatever. I took out my KJW P229 and wanted to test it out again just because (that was going to be my secondary). Tried to fill it with gas, and it leaked like a mofo. "What the fuck?" I said. It was working fine before. So I was kind of pissed. $475 worth of dead pistols. Whatever, I'll bring my cheap springer as well. (Which ended up being my never-used secondary).

I used my cheap MP5 with mini-battery at the game. Battery never died on me. Gun never broke. Went through approximately 12-15 magazines x 90 rounds.

It didn't have a WHOLE lot of range (it was pretty decent with a little hop-up), but fuck if it didn't serve me well and get me some kills (I estimate it was about 4-6).

So long story short, my two expensive ($475) pistols broke, and the one working gun I had, was my cheap MP5 ($150, JG brand I believe).

KJ's, and HFCs aren't expensive pistols. I've never seen a TM , or WA spontaneously malfunction like that. Must've been revenge for not givin' them enough looooovvveee

most likely a user maintenance issue. You have to really take care of pistols and their mags. Thankfully w/ the TM P226 mags the only issue seems to be the mag seal, and it tightens down with a quick turn of a hex key..

How long have you had the pistols and the mp5? Also how much did you game them?

i have to admit im pretty impressed with JG stuff so far. I gamed my new JG M16a2 at the recent campx game and it was shooting 345fps right out of the box. Was told that if i open it up clean and regrease the mechbox i should get up to 375fps consistantly. The gun was very accurate too and the built is solid. No one would know it was a JG unless i told them.

He just received the pistols, using duster-spray, part of the slide chipped off, and for no real reason, his KJ mag started to leak through the bottom (no, not the fill nipple, but OUT THE BOTTOM, so no-one can say "it's your own fault" here.

Flabeo:
He has only had the two pistols for about two weeks now. He has had the MP5 for about a month now, this was his first game with it, as he said. The game was from 11am until 7pm, that's how long he gamed it.

I PERSONALLY saw him get two kills with his "Cheap" and "shitty" (yes, the stupid foreigner said that) MP5.

Aqua got a little carried away there. I used propane and I had the pistols for a little longer than the MP5. But I gamed the MP5, and I didn't game the pistols (I wanted to, but couldn't!).

psst what does Aqua know he was trying to chrony with .12's And then couldnt fiqure out why his gun was hot over an hour

But yea Styrak your cheap gun didnt do too badly. But still I'd like to see its long term durability, and how it holds up under sustained fire like I was doing with my C-mag Saturday at that game.

But for a short term, not heavy use gun sure looks decent enough.

KJW is garbage.
Pricing (when more retailers were open) was around 200-250, 250 was for the most expensive gun.

You could pick up a USP Tactical from KJ from Specarms for $200. And that was a NICE gun, but they are shit.
