can some one help please(m203s questions)

I have looked high. I have looked low. I cant find what I am after any where.

Not even on the site that sells the item.

I am planing an expansion to my rifle and adding a grenade launcher. I don't want the launcher to look totally wacky. So I am going with a best fit. Problem is I cant find the over all lengths of the grenade launchers. Its to be mounted on a ris on the bottom of the gun.

The particular 2 I was looking at were (on redwolf airsoft)

GP199 g&p short ris mounted m203
GP200 g&p long ris mounted m203

Also whats the length of the top piece cant find that ether

any other possibles are nice

If I missed a post that dose have this info can you please point me in the right direction.

I too have been looking at those exact two models for my TM M4 S-System. I think the short version looks the best. Anderon and Anderson has them listed on their site with prices and the long version is cheaper, go figure. They don't have any in stock but you could have them do a pre-order. I may just do that also. I had the measurments you wanted written down somewhere as I wanted to see how it would work on the RIS. I'll look around for them and post the info.

Hope this helps

Shorties have 9 inch barrels (12 inches overall) and regular 203s have 12 inch barrels (15 inches overall).

The RIS mount makes them sit a bit lower than a normal M203 would (~ 1.5 - 2 cm); doesn't affect anything, but it looks slightly odd. The RIS mount also doesn't work too well with some types of collars.

O ya for a note: Its not being mounted on an m4 or m16.

Its being mounted on a famas.

Should be okay then, although you might want/have to do away with the trigger guard (if you're buying it new, the trigger guard is actually something you have to install yourself -- otherwise it's just held in by a roll pin and is easily removed).

The G&P M203s are pretty heavy (lots of metal), so make sure you have some kind of reinforcement where your rail is mounted on the FAMAS (presuming in the handguard/battery compartment cover)
