Who's the manufacturer? I've never heard of them.

It's a CYMA 031 AK 74 .. it's a Classic Army AK 74 clone. This guy got it off of BuyAirsoft.ca no doubt
Hey bud, when did you get your AK? Send it back to BuyAirsoft tell them the issue, it counts as defective |

It's been upgraded and has run for a good few hundred (or couple thousand) rounds already.
Upgrades are simply piston head, cylinder head, a small spring upgrade, nozzle, and metal bushings. It worked for quite a few hundred rounds before this problem came up. I did notice when it was apart (I upgraded) that the tappet plate was hard and would likely break soon. |

Make sure the selector gearing is correct (both sides of the mechbox)and the little spring for the semi-auto cutt-off bar is still in place.

He's a friend of my brother. (same age)
After his posts in the other section, I have decided against making an attempt at repairing his gun. When I put the metal bushings in, the gun was working and was working after. I don't believe I did anything wrong by installing the parts. |

Yes, it was BuyAirsoft.ca, but it was purchased by his friend's brother (over 18 and of whom I have never met). |

I'm not fond of the whole idea of fixing a 13yrs old kid's gun, and I'm sure there are quite a few gun doctors on ASC who refuses to do any work for under 18s to simply discourage underage to buy airsoft and play at anywhere else other than approved fields. |
