14mm left handed thread

So i was thinking of purchasing a 14mm left handed tap and thread cutting die to modify barrels and such... however, im not exactly sure what threading it is. All i know is that its a 14mm left handed threading.. but how fine is it? anyone know?

Im thinking of ordering form mcmaster-carr.. and the dies that they have for M14 are:

M14 x 1.25mm
M14 x 1.5mm
M14 x 2mm

so anyone know which one it is?

I put my thread gauge on there and it looks to be 14mm 1.0

not sure if this is an odd ball size (probably not found at CT anyway)

It is a 14mm x 1.00mm pitch.

yep, its a M14x1 CCW
i have a custom machined sample right next to me that i used to check my flash hider on my ex G36K
a less common size but still exists
very important to state CCW!!!! (counter clockwise) or you'll get a right hand tap by default

Get ready to spend a whole lot on this if you want something any close to good quality...

I asked a machinist I know... he used to sell machines and tools.... and told me that this tap was about 200$....

You probably can have a cheaper one but probably won't last long.

And having the treads custom made is not really cheaper...need some special tools and such...

i got mine for 45$; a 200$ tap is made for tapping stuff like stainless steel or last forever when tapping aluminum or low carbon steel. I got a tap more suited to cutting low carbon steels and aluminum, the metals used in airsoft guns are inferior to our scrap steel, so it wont wear down a tap if your modifying a barrel attachment, and it doesnt need to last you 50yrs since you'll only ever use it 3 or 4 times.
in this case cost is more of an issue than quality
