They are damn nice rifles. If thats the gun you want then go for it. My 2 C8s probably run about $1500 a piece when you add up all the upgrade parts. and my M249 is at about $1800 so it's not like your spending way more the others here. You could go with a CA M15A4 for like $600 but the systema has some pretty neat features like quick power change and last shot lock off. You just gotta ask yourself if thats the gun you want.

It's worth it, would I buy one? Probably not at $1700, $1700 can get me 2 AEGs. For $1000 like the one in classified right now, awfully tough choice.

Getting a SystemA is like getting a Porsche 911, and getting a CA, TM or G&P is like getting a 350z. Tuning a 350z is probably more fun than just a stock 911. Yeah, you can tune 911, but it's good as it is in stock form. Getting Chinasoft is like getting a Civic, doesn't matter what you do, you're not squeezing much out unless you gut out everything. And Softair is like getting an bicycle, there is nothing you can do to it. |

Just FYI, they aren't $1700. You need to buy custom batteries, Systema mags, cylinder kits if your friends don't like getting 495 fps in the head, you get the picture.
I bought a moderately accessorized M4 MAX and the gun and Systema accessories was $3200, CASV and RDS add another $400. Phenom, you have never held/used a PTW, so your opinion is so totally uninformed to be useless. If you have actually seen one, you would own one already. You need to do NOTHING to a PTW but use it and accessorize it. There are no performance upgrades. There are no compatibility problems. There is no "trial and error" shit, countless hours and dollars trying parts and never having the "perfect" mix. There is no "my gun always goes down" crap that always follows upgrades. THe PTW is a mechanical device like any other and all mechanical devices will fail, that is a mathematical certainty. But would you rather not have the best out-of-the-box and be able to use a reliable gun than have to fart around building a $1500 potential-lemon from a Marui, and then have to keep putting money/parts into it to keep it running or alter it for use at varying facilities? I've owned dozens of guns from every manufacturer and worked on every brand out there. The Systema is in such a different league that you can't compare them to anything else. BTW, my M16A3 in the classifieds is a good deal. I can find ICS or Marui guns that sell for the same money and are simply garbage in comparison.

if we are comparing to cars, the PTW is the goddam space shuttle on crack.
If we were talking people, chinasoft would be the fat ugly chick on crutches with the green discharge running down her amputated leg....The TM is the smoking hot just 18 cheerleader who likes to get freaky with her girlfriends...and the PTW is like Elisha Cuthbert, Gwen Stefani and the chick from Total Recall with 3 boobs all mixed into one. |

Mcguyver, I have never held a PTW either and truthfully don't want to becuase I think I might buy one.....now that Wey is getting one I am not going to be able to socialize with him any more at games but thats realy not a lose...lol
My questions is besides the last shot lock out (i really don't care about that) how would a PTW compare to a full metal M4 with a pro-win mech box in it? Now I understand you get close to the cost of the PTW if you buy this retail, but what I am doing is I have been slowly building a M4 off of parts I scrounge or get in a deal. I now have a complete armalite except front end (which I will be able to get for around $125) and I am in to this thing currently under $400 including the mechbox. So soon i hope to have a very reliable M4 FMU for under $600. Which isn't a far step from how much you are selling your PTW. PS if the PTW is the end-all-be-all AEG why are you selling yours? not trying to be a dick just wondering. |

oh but they are only 1700..the gun is.
green discharge is so hot. jay they dont compair braah.(buy my front end) he is selling it because he just bought a max..the newest version. and there is a proformance upgrade...its a tightbore barrel. but any gun shipped after january has it in it anyways.
