Well, pics do not do it any justice, we thought it looked rather small until one fo the guys got his in and brought it in for show and tell. Was a lot bigger than imagined even the mags. Was suprisingly sturdy and seemingly well out together.

IMO I think its a nice alternative for the MP5 and with accesories you can deck it out very nicely if desired.

OK so here's my review...

the mags are HUGE, they dwarf MP5 mags lol
you CAN HK slap it safely (big plus!!)
the guns body is one of the most amazing/solid bodies ive ever seen, and the functional bolt catch is a real good way to impress your friends
although its stated as 50rnds per mag on any site its actually 70
theres only one thing i dont like about this gun and its the internals, mine is shooting 180-220fps, ive been told it needs to be properly lubed inside once you get it and it has a full cylinder which may affect fps
its an amazing gun to get if your going to upgrade your AEG anyway, but because its G&G the stock internals are crap.
However, strangely enough its accuracy is unparallelled by any other short barrel AEG. with a 205mm barrel, ive never had any trouble shooting people indoors, and it comes from those moments like "hey theres a guy 70 feet away running across a hallway, ill just shoot him to scare him a little" wack! wack! "hit!" "omg i got him:shock:
hopup unit never moves either and its never EVER misfed....EVER
although on semi it'll sometimes double shoot
the mag springs are ridiculous, i suggest using these mags as claymores, loaded with 70rnds they'll fire 25+ feet with a death cone about 4 feet in diameter
so to recap:

appearance: 9/10 very realistic, fake markings (the seam lines are REALISTIC)
build quality: 9/10 as high as you can get for plastic, very solid.
performance: 5/10 fair, although its fps is low and inconsistent, its reliably accurate and never misfeeds
value: 7/10 more than TM, less than CA, no complaints
overall potential: 7/10 although an amazing CQB gun its not destined for outdoors because of its barrel, excellent indoor potential though, if your a CQB player this gun is for you!

Any questions? Let me know... but those to links should cover almost any questions you would need.

I'd stay away from the STAR...

If you're into Lowcaps, you might want to take gear into consideration. UMP mag pouches aren't nearly as common as others.

Do you realize, that no matter how cool your signature is, it is over two megabytes?

you need to get age verified first, then you'll have access to buy and sell forums and retailers will pay attention to your emails.
canadian retailers are listed at the top of the site there.

update: upgraded my UMG, systema parts, damn does it ever shoot nice lol
it was extremely accurate and very inconsistent (160-220) when i first got it, now its got the same accuracy, way more range and shoots a consistent 280 with a stock CA spring (CA quality bombed recently and i got one of their bad springs)

I've held one here at XP before the store was raided.

Externally: hottest gun ever. weight is heavy, feel is great, very comfy for a large person, 6'1.

Shoots just fine. But ive been told that G&G internals are the worst on the market. If i were to buy one, I'd have a gunsmith take it apart and replace the shitty parts.

Price is excellent! Who said its more than TM? It's $425... Very cheap and very sick.. a must buy for a CQB lover.

lol maxx, I thought you said your sig was the hottest gun
UMP is the best looking SMG IMO
anything with a vertical mag speaks to me
but the UMG mag is pretty cummbersome looking... yet sexy...

The UMG's mag looks kinda akward to carry around...

I hear Star's UMP is infinitely better..
