i like them both, i like the takedown for its portability, and its "slim, sleek" profile and look (compared to the AICS). the AICS looks modern and more "bulky", but i like its ergonomics, its also shorter than the takedown by a few inches.

The A.I.C.S weighs about 10 lb with it's long magazine and a scope attach but looking at the slimmer takedown it may be lighter. This is good thing to know since lugging a 10 lb gun around in cammo in the hot summer day isn't fun you will start to wish you had something lighter

I personally would prefer the AICS.

I really enjoy my Tanaka M700 AICS! Shoots hard and very accurate. The weight of my AICS doesn't really bother me as my M4 w/M203 weights more than that. Although I haven't yet played with the take-down version, of what I read it's a reliable gun. Only drawn back I've read about them is the barrel come wobbly after awhile due to taking them aprt too many times (if some player has this version, perhaps if you could shed some light on this area).

Although personally, I would prefer an AICS oer the take-down version cause the intimidation factor of the AICS.

I also own an AICS - amazing gun. The AICS has a different (and better) hopup rubber/barrel interface design than the M700 Police. Other than that, they are more or less internally identical.

However, between the takedown model of the M700P and the regular, plain-Jane M700P, the testing I've read on the 'net concluded that the plain old M700P was slightly more accurate and consistent than the takedown model, due to the rigidity of the fixed body and better air seal.

If I were rating them in stock form (in terms of accuracy/consistency) I'd have the AICS first, then the plain Jane M700P, then the takedown model.
