My custom CA36

Finally finished the sub-mods on my CA36 (after a madbull tightbore)
it, in effect, has a 9inch rail on the bottom that was designed for the m16, i cut it down and bolted it into place. it also has a small length g36 rail on top of the sight, as well as a V-type stock and some custom trademarks (i know they dont go there but it doesnt matter)

coments/sugestions are apreciated

Clean up and paint over the saw marks on the rail.

Thumbs up

Nice!

It seems like the red dot is too high.
Does it work out for you?
Because sometimes I have trouble in prone with the built-in scope.

Besides everything: gotta love the stock, nice g36

Slap an Eotech or Aimpoint on that rail. Civie optics make everything look amatuer.

the rds is pretty simple to instal, all you need is a short g36 rail (the kind that are tippicaly mounted to the sides of G36c's) take one of those and sand (or saw) down one of the screw runs (the plastic nubs where the screw goes on the underside of the rail) then just allign it above the scope with the shortened end on top of the raised part of the carry handle, apply superglue and voila!

NOTE: with this applied, you cant adjust the sights elevation, doesnt matter to me because you cant use it with a paintball mask on anyway...

to mr.ptrap the rds is a little high, but the cheekrest + paintball mask compensates for this so it is in a comfortable position.

hmm superglue eh? doesn't sounds long term to me lol, i was originally going to drill and bolt mine down.

edit: something along the lines of this:

course i don't have a spare eotech on my hands, so a laser will suffice

the best part is i can still aim with the handle optics and i can remove the rail if i need to adjust the scope as well.

thanks for getting me on the ball for doing this man lol

thats a good idea takatorikku, however mounting the laser there makes it so you cant use the iron sites.

Well I think hes just using the laser to represent where a RDS will go, he just didnt have one when he took the pics.

not sure if i like yours as much takatorikku, it seems more versitile, but i looks odd being suspended over the carryhandle and having the large bolt sticking out the bottom... btw, amazing kg3, have you ever actually used the iron sights on your g36? they arn't that much of a loss

yes they are useless, but just the fact of mounting a laser on over the scope and giving up the iron sights just seems odd to me. it would have been easier to mount on the foregrip, which would still allow you to use the iron sights if the scope failed. it just seems unnecessary. it looks sorta good though.
