I just bought a RDS Reflex Sight, but will it work with M4 Iron Sight?
This is the first time me posting here... I have researched before making this thread but got absolutely no exact information whats so ever.
The thing that I want to ask is that, I have a TM M4A1 New Type(Uncustomized), And I just bought a RDS Red Dot Sight(https://www.nafan.com/hosted/graphic...ht-ac10632.jpg). So now Im waiting for it to arrive but I dont know if the front Iron sight will block the view of the RDS scope(It seems that It is impossible to take it off due to the shafting, and Im trying to take off the carry handle to put on the RDS Scope). Please help me. Thank you very much for your time. Last edited by Skladfin; December 26th, 2006 at 01:37.. |

hopefully, and only hopefully, will the reticule line up with the sight. it happens with aimpoints for me, but someone else can tell you what you need for all that. regardless, it might obstruct your view. Second, to remove the carrying handle, unscrew the bolts on the left of the handle counter clockwise, and it should come right off.

So I guess a Rail Raiser or a Carry Handle Rail would help?

Yes, or you can buy a flip up front sight to replace the one that comes with the M4.

or just use it like it that, you might not get a co-witness but unless the front sight really bugs you that much youll be fine. i hate huge risers and carry handle mounts personally, just try and achieve a co-witness witht he reflex and the irons

Has a life outside Airsoft

I have a little 4x scope on my air rifle (not airsoft) and the metal scope on the front is always in the line of sight, but its not to bad once you get used to it.
I only target shoot with that gun though...

If you have a 4x scope you shouldnt even SEE the front sight. At most it ll be a slight blur thats barely noticeable.

So I just got my Scope, and I give it a 7.5/10, over all very good. Ill just sum it up for future new comers that might wanna know about this.
Positive + -Looks damn sexy -Easier to shoot moving targets -Easy to look through, unlike Ironsights, it doesnt take precious seconds to aim. Negative- -If you dont have a good vision, the crosshair may look blurry to you. -Hard to install the battery -Mounting on rail takes time. |

looks nice, good job. at least you don't have to put your cheek so close to the gun to aim, looks like you can do it casually. one thing i hate about some guns... i like my head straight when i aim.

yeah that wouldn't have lined up at all on the rail... good thing you got the carrying handle and mount.
