Does this fall under ClearSoft or Restricted?
Hey guys, no this is not a noob posting here but this caught my eye and I was wondering if this would be okay for crossing the border.
http://blazingtoys.com/products/btsderaim01t.html If anyone has contact information for the Customs Office in Ontario can they forward it to me? I tried looking via Google and haven't come up with anything specific. Thanks. EDIT: I found this URL for Ontario but I'm lost. http://canadaonline.about.com/gi/dyn.../canadae.shtml Last edited by aZn_triXta07; December 17th, 2006 at 00:37.. |

Clear is fine. SIR sells similar things. But you never know, customs can be having a bad day and take it away...

I've asked a retailer who I know imports ClearSoft from Leapers and they say its okay, I asked another friend who said that as long as there's not too much metal in it ie. metal gearbox than it should be okay. I'd like to have some more opinions. I'm also debating whether or not if it would be okay to contact the CBSA and speak with a firearms technician.

Yeah I read that, and it says it's case-by-case basis so I'm thinking of giving that number a call.

Don't bother. Clear receiver is legal. They (CBSA and CFC) ruled on that about 2 years ago.

Just a thought, maybe I can have the gearbox and other metal parts shipped up in one parcel and the plastic parts in another. More safe? Need some input.

I know in the real steal world that the firearm is the bottom portion of the weapon, so if the bottom portion is clear, it must be fine

I concur. AR-15 lowers are the only controlled part; I've imported complete barrelled 5.56mm upper receivers before and customs never gave me a hard time about it.
