The best SIG

Hello everyone

I recently fell in love with the Sig armality series, I blame it on Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Vegas (produced in Ubisoft Montreal!), and loved how the 552 looked and functioned in the game. Now I am wondering which of them is your favorite and why.

Is it the 550, 551 or 552?

The 552 in airsoft form is a good gun. Unfortunatly, many people sold theirs and only a handfull are still in "service" among the comunity. Maybe because of his lack of mojo and popularity in movies.

The 550 and 551 are not in production anymore. My 552 was an impulse buy but after dumping in parts and buying a swack of mags I'm quite happy with it. My next purchase is going to be a LAM unit to house a larger battery and if things go well I'll snag a metal body later on.

I think I'll keep my 552 seeing that I have the uber rare Hurricane metal body.

I love the 552, I'd get one if I wasn't such a large battery fiend.

I got my Sig552 last Xmas, have fully upgraded to shoot at 350fps...work done by the trusty Illusion. Also I have the Hurricane metal body installed. I am using a LAM unit with a 9.6V 1700mah battery that produces an impressive ROF. Used the gun once at an outdoor game, this gun is most effective if you can edge closer to your opponents.
The only drawback about this gun is that the TM low cap mag only holds 40rds as oppose to the M16/M4 mag that holds over 60rds. The TM Sig high cap mags hold 220rds only. I understand that ISC will come out with Sig high cap mag that holds over 300rds…I will check it out for sure in the future.
I confess that I was temped to sell this gun a couple times and decided to keeps it for good as this is such a fun gun to shoot. It will definitely out perform a number of other sub-machines guns…but I will keep my opinions to my self.
To see more Sig552 in action at the movie screen, check out Assault On Precinct 13, Miami Vice and the TV series The Unit just to name a few.

MAG does make midcaps in the full 30 round length instead of the stubby 20 round length mags. The midcaps hold ~100 rounds I believe, I had 2 of them for my 552 and I had no misfeed or jamming problems.

Sig 552. Was my first AEG.

Impulse buy yup. Played CS far too much and loved it on there and just wanted something just like it in real life.

Boys and there toys huh?

the bodies on the 55 series tend to be a bit "thin" and plasticy fealing. If there was a full stock option for a large battery I would be all over it.

The 550 is an older gun and the 3BB burst is cool but has it's issues. It has an older TM feal like the Famas.

Go 552 and get a high scope mount and some rails to accesorize. The mags with fakies in them are really cool looking too!

my buddy has a sig 552 upgraded to 395fps and he's pretty killer with the stock folded and in CQB. it's a sweet little gun. of course he gets more mercies with it than shooting... wierd.

395FPS in CQB? I wouldn't play in a CQB field that allows guns that hot...
