G&P Metal Body won't fit over TM New Type Stock Mechbox Help!!

Hey Guys,

I picked up a new metal body for my TM M4A1 New Type, this body here:

http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct...sp?prodid=8084
(Note: Link will take you to a page outside Airsoft Canada Forums)

Went to install it last night and everything went fine till I went to close up the body and the upper revceiver won't fit over the mech box. My old plastic body slipped over once you spread it abit and slide it down but you obviously can't do that with a aluminum body. Any ideas on how I can get it to fit or am I stuck picking up a new mech box? Any help is appericiated, attachted is a picture of where the project sits right now.

Take off the front pin and slide the upper receiver across the top of the mech box.

As colin said, most of the G&P bodies upper receivers slide over the mech box not drop down like other manufactuers. My G&P rifle works this way, hence the lack of rear body tabs.

Funny...

If you follow the instructions (wich are actually pretty well written) this shouldn't even be an issue.

Also note that all mechbox are shaped the same because of the cylinder, and even If you could force your upper receiver on, you would damage either your nozzle of your hop-up (most likely the nozzle since the hop-up is made out of metal)

You might also find that you have take the chamber block off the body to get you wires to slid in the tight space between the body and the block.

Real nice bodies but a pain to take apart if your battery is in your hanguard or a PEQ.

It actually not bad to get the wires through even on the front end, theres room for some slack allowing you to seperate and disconnect easily.

Like it was mentioned above, remove the front pin and slide the upper receiver back into place, thats how the G&P bodies lock together.

Few Pictures of Mine:
