Mags across the border?
Please no one flame me for this but I'm under the impression getting mags for airsoft rifles into Canada is easy, yes? I am ordering from the states and while they won't ship to Canada I have relatives in the states who will or there's a company called 'ship-happens' right across the border that I could send them to and then go pick them up. If I declare them I should have no problems doing that, correct? Anyone got any personal experience doing this?

Just get in one one of the group orders... save the hassle, but really, they should be fine. Not a problem, especially if you are nice when you declare them.

Mags are generally OK to import, EXCEPT the mags with fake bullets on them (Lo-caps of G36, SIG552 and P90).

Dont gamble, order from one of the Canadian Retailers.
If you want to gamble, go ahead. No matter what, importing anything is always a gamble, specially by a person. Would you like your relatives to go through all the crap related to a full search to save you a few bucks? Do you want to go through that yourself? Just ask yourself if the price saving after all the duties and exchange rates is really worth it. |

Mag's Will make it just fine as stated above there may be problems with the ones with fake rounds in them. Never had any trouble with my mags though, and customs did check them everytime.
Not everything will get seized I think its just a spread of paranoia. Or maybe some people just have really really bad luck. |

I heard that it's also a good idea to ask your retailer to load BBs into it so when customs checks it they'll know that it belongs to a BB type gun indefinitely.

Here in quebec Almost nothing from airsoft is able to go through a custom search. Be warned. My 1st buisness order was seized and destroyed i lost over 7000$, now i have made more progress and i'm able to make legal importation for parts and accessory and aEG. Now for my Buisness Zone 27 everything is fine ! i lost a lost of stupid stuff non prohibited related : Mags, bb loader, loading rod, inner barrel, silencer, Slings, gears, internals parts. So you better use dealer and be safe ! JF |

Wow, I forgot about this thread. I was wondering if anyone has any experience actually driving across with them and declaring them? I have mixed feelings about doing so, but seeing as there aren't, to my knowledge, any legality issues and this way I can explain what they actually are, it seems like not a huge deal.

If they were placed in different places, and they found one, they would get pretty suspicious. Example, "0MFG@!!! 1 f0und a $UP3r 1337 gun p@rT in 4is TrUNk!11 L3ts $tr1p h1s 1337 mU$T@ng d0wn and @nal pr0be h1m 2 f1nd m0r3 1337 guN p@rt$!!!111ONEONE" Now, is that smart? I think it would be even safer to have the whole gun and tell them. |

Kid actually has a good point its way more suspicious to have multipul gun parts all over the car it just makes you like you have something to hide.
