want some ideas

well i have some money coming my way about 150 bucks give or take. but i have a G3-SG1 and i want to upgrade it a bit so whats the best thing i can do to my gun with the money i have.

That's a tough one. What do you want? Personally, I'd buy more lowcaps, or get a metal body. To me, the feel is much more important than hardcore performance.

Yeah, but what's the point? You're going to notice zero change in performance. Better motors only shine when the power source is limited, i.e. mini batteries. I assume you're using a large in the SG1, so you will notice just about ZERO change from motor. Gears, you'll only notice anything different if you go with high-speed gears. That's the only reason to put different gears in a stock gun. Unless you specifically want a higher ROF and the asscociated damage it'll do to your mechbox, gears are a bad idea. A new motor is a bad idea regardless.

110 spring + bushings = $50
Silent piston head, piston and spring guide = $100

That should do you for durability too...
