Ver.2/3 Mechbox Build

Hello all,

I was hoping that some of the gun "doctors" could answer a couple of questions. I am thinking of building a complete Ver.2 (M16A2) and a Ver.3 (AK 47) Mechbox. I have done alot of serching and have found out what I need mostly, the problem is the internal springs and other small items. I have:

Reinforced gearbox
Gears
bushings and shims
spring guide
main spring
piston
piston head
cylinder head
air nozzle
tappet plate
cylinder
selector plate
cut off lever
anti reversal latch
switch wireing/assembly
trigger assembly

I have all the small springs and levers from a AKs type mechbox. Complete.

What do you need exactly

lubrication and patience. more important by far than the quality of parts that you use.

I want to build a complete mechbox, so I would need everything. The point of the thread was to see if I have overlooked anything that I will need. What is it that you have exactly? and what condition?

replacement spring sets are avaliable from alot of stores man, i seen them for v2-3 boxes. Plus they are just springs, perfectly okay to import i think.

missing:

motor eg 700 short type

motor cage (screwsx2 springx1)
the plate that slides onto the top of the mechbox that helps hold the two halves together.

Selector switch assembly.

Hmmm, this seems to be getting messed up. I would just like to know if I have missed anything in my list to build a complete mechbox from scatch. I assumed that the screws needed would come with the new reinforced mechbox :-? or would they have to be bought separately. I realize that the A2 and AK mechboxes have different parts. So If I have missed anything that I will need for the Ver. 3 box please let me know. Thanks to all that have helped. (this might acctually be more than I had originally planned :banghead: )
