Shipping Mags from USA
I might be buying a couple GBB mags from the USA since no one in Canada has HFC M190 CO2 mags....found some at the UNcompany in Aisa, but dont want to wait that long.
I would like someone who has had expereince or knows the facts about shipping GBB mags into Canada from the USA to please tell me whether it will work or not. |

Mags should be fine theoretically. But i'd avoid ones that have dummy rounds in em like P90 and G36 or you might get some trouble from customs. for the record, UN company is extremely fast at shipping. I've gotten one order from them in less than 3 days which was kind of scary fast from asia. My last order however got stuck at customs for a week and they opened everything.. including a bag of 8mm bbs. and every little baggie with small parts in them.

What percentage of the purchase amount would UPS cod? If I am only making a $63US purchase I dont want to be paying like half of that on cod.

UPS is the company thats making the delivery.
COD means "Cash on delivery". That means that the delivery company pay the company where you buy and then you have to pay UPS at the delivery.

if it's coming from UPS, broker it yourself. you will save a lot more.
UPS likes to rape you on brokerage fees. But if you do it yourself you will only pay duty and GST on it. |

Once you get your tracking number you call UPS and tell them you want to broker it yourself. They will then get your paperwork ready, and call you so you can pick up the papers. You get the papers and go to Canada Customs and duty, and they check your papers and chrge you duty and tax on your items, depending on where they're made. You pay and they stamp your papers, and then you go back to UPS and pick up your parcel.
In winnipeg the two places, UPS office, and Canada Customs are literally 5 minutes apart from each other, it may be different in your area. So, around here, it's a small inconvinience to pay for a large savings. This method works for anything and everything. So you can do it for big ticket items and it will be cheaper. Although the place you're buying from states that it only ships with UPS, you have nothing to lose if you ask if they'll ship it USPS. You're much better off receiving things through Canada Post, because they won't overcharge you on anything and is sometimes faster than the big companies. UPS is a big hassle, go with USPS whenever possible. |
