LCT Railed dust cover + optic, with battery underneath???
I'm curious how a railed top cover with an attached optic works out when you need to remove it to get the battery in... big PITA? Does the optic and cover hold solid? Is there a better alternative (without mounting the optic on the forend)?

Zenit B33 rail is hinged, so is the repro TWS rail from Samoon. They do not interfere with the gas tube opening. My TWS rail holds perfectly fine.
You could also use a regular AK side mount which is more kosher and arguably better and more solid for optics. |

There are also rails that replace your rear sight. I quite liked mine
