It's the "ping" sound of the clip that makes the M1 Garand what it is.

Thats half the fun really. Anyhow sure the airsoft one the spring is not as strong. not saying it wouldn't hurt still though.

Neat gun. But I prefer to have it still punish the users who don't have the skill to load it. heh

Here is a clip of me with the real garand if you want to compare recoil.

Good ol' 30 odd. I had a really nice oval bruise on my shoulder at the end of the day. Wouldn't have had it any other way really.

Not my Garand. I couldn't tell ya. I think there is a special rule though for it maybe.

Hard to limit the clip to 5 I think

PM Orvis on the EAR forums. He is the one who owns all the cool WW2 guns. He had 1903 out and some german guns too.

Real fun stuff to shoot. Shot his m1 carbine too. That was a real treat too.

You can have all the clips in the world, but the gas source is still internal. Would the gas last long enough to fire off your 10 clips withought recharging?

The M1 garand is an exception, because it will not function properly with less than 8 cartridges.

Prehaps this would be a good time to mod it to accept regulated CO2 from an external remote source.

Get a palmer regulator and co2 bottle and some hose and fittings. 70 PSI should do it.

Then you can fire all you want with incredibily consistence.
