Shooting issue when mags are full.
Hey guys,
I'm encountering a pretty unique problem; not one that I've seen or heard of before. I use midcaps and whenever a mag is full of BBs, the first BB that I fire will only fly for a few feet. Once the mag is roughly half empty, every BB that I fire will fly normally. Additionally, if I fire a burst with a full mag, only the first BB drops off; all subsequent BBs in the burst will fly normally. I have tried many different magazine brands and sizes (30-rounds, 68-round, 80-round, etc) and the problem is reproducible. I've also visually inspected the nozzle and it does not seem worn down. The AEG is a G&P VLTOR body, and the mechbox shell is OEM also, but all the internals parts are aftermarket: Lonex hopup and nozzle, Modify airseal parts. Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions? |

I have encountered something similar with midcaps as well, if you load the magazine all the way the pressure on the BBs can cause the first few shots to act irractic, cause misfires, etc.
What I found is not loading a midcap all the way greatly improves the quality of the first few shots, which kinda sounds like what's happening with you as well. Try loading the magazines only to the point of encountering resistance with your speed loader and see if it goes away. Also some midcaps need or should be broken in, my PTS EPM magazines required a few loads and unloads in order to function reliably. Hope that helps. |
