Gettin what ya pay for; KWC Uzi or G&G AEG rifle vs GBB pistol, Reliable brands
i just wanted to start a thread and get some other opinions from you guys on some of the deals out there on AEGs. Replicaairguns.ca has a good selection of G&G AEGs, but i am wondering what the difference is between G&Gs $179 -$220 AEGs and the $300-$650 range?
For instance i just got a, but i see other AEGs that seem to have the same specs but are twice the price. I will list 3 G&G AEGs that seem so similar with vastly different prices: GR15 Raider for $300 https://www.replicaairguns.ca/g-and-...low-back-rifle TR15 Raider for $449.99 https://www.replicaairguns.ca/g-and-...-airsoft-rifle CM16 Raider for $179.99 https://www.replicaairguns.ca/g-g-cm...st-airsoft-gun CAN SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU ARE GETTING WITH EACH EXTRA $100 THAT GETS SPENT ON THOSE RAIDERS....will the cheaper one breakdown after less gameplay or something? i want to stock up on reliable AEGs, so i can eventually open my own course in Powell River or Texada Island (less RCMP). So i want to know what AEGs to avoid getting as my rentals..I want to know how much maintenance to expect with these AEGs vs GBB pistols over the span of a few years. I need loaner/rental Pistols and rifles. If you guys cant tell me of any significant diferences among the three AEG rifles listed above then i will simply stock up with AEGs between $179-$200..I have only had my CM16 for a week, but so far its stellar. For a GBB pistol i am even less educated, but i am looking for something that wont require much maintenance, and has a descent mag capacity, and maybe one that i can get spare mags for cheaply..the only one i have owned was the green gas desert eagle and i have 2 of the Co2 versions coming in the mail but these were pricey...Does anyone know of a reliable GBB pistol that isnt super expensive? That being said, i need to invest in some rental AEG rifles and GBB pistols that arent too expensive & have reputations for lasting a long time in multiple sets of hands w/ minimal maintenance. I thought about using the really cheap $20-$50 spring pistols as loaners but they never last a year when shared by 3 or more people, and loaners or not i just dont want to own shitty gear. I own 2 KWC co2 desert eagles (not the full auto ones), a Kwc co2 uzi w/ 2 spare mags & a G&G CM16 Raider (the Lg DST version and i just f*^king love it). Other than the AEG raider, i dont like loaning the GBB ones cause i have read that they take wear and tear (especially the uzi mags) faster than most AEGs, and i paid for them so i guess i just want them spending their good years in my hands. I would suggest not having loaner/rental pistols.

inb4 get vfc
all the above is the same shit different marketing if you're doing this for a training course you might be better off with simunitions and real steel rather than gas blowback rifle/pistols. The system/discipline is the same as real steel on AEG's but you're missing the recoil and bolt function on most of them. Last edited by RainyEyes; June 26th, 2016 at 00:50.. |

Internally? They're all pretty much the same with the TR15/GR15 offering 'blowback' as an added bonus.
The TR15 is an all metal upper/lower. The GR15 and CM16 are both polymer. A lot of the more expensive brands like VFC and Krytac - what you are paying for is additional features like integrated mosfets, higher quality internal parts, and licensed trademarks (like actual Colt branding for example), using varied RIS like Keymod or M-Lok instead of the NAR you normally see. Someone may be able to provide more detail, but that's what I found out when I was looking at the various M4 versions. If you're planning on having them as 'loaner' stock - then I see no reason not to go with the CM16. Any issues that come out of them will be easily fixable and they're by and large good value for the dollar spent. |

thanks for the quick replies...i have a cm16 and for a buck seventy-nine it makes me want to get a half dozen to arm the whole block, but haven't owned it with steady, consistent use for a whole year, so i havent yet...but any time i catch myself looking at the AEG that ar $400+ i wonder if its actually going to be worth twice as much on the field as the cm16
