Who produces the best Sig 55X series rifle?
I've just recently become interested in Milsim, and have started looking into my first purchase, I've always liked Swiss Arms/SIG rifles, and thus would love to own an Airsoft AEG replica, however, the variety of choice is much more than novice like me can handle. So, I ask; Which of these guns is the best?
-Cybergun (CYMA made) Sig 556 -G&G Sig 550 -G&G Sig 553 -King Arms Sig 556 Shorty -Tokyo Marui Sig 552 The criteria I'm looking for opinions on is: -Affordability for the performance -Close range effectiveness -Long range effectiveness -Build quality -Ease of access to internals (for example, battery changes may be vital during long events, I'd prefer this not to be a difficult process) -External durability -Magazine compatibility -Customization abilities -Ergonomics (For example, if one of the guns would be too large for somebody standing at 5'6") -Anything else that you believe may be vital to settle this debate Thank you in advance, everyone! |

G&G makes the best SIG 55X airsoft guns. If G&G is out of your price range, get an ICS.

So, none of the other brands have any qualities that trump G&G? Keep in mind, this will indeed be a field gun used for 5+ hour events, (and hopefully some 18+ hour ones in the future!)

No, get a G&G, they make the best SIG airsoft rifles, don't over complicate it.

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

Agreed.
The cyber gun is only nice due to trades/license. The TM is good but for field play you'll be dumping money into right away. The King arms is okay but the GnG is best overall. Swap the hop rubber and inner barrel and yer good to play till she breaks.

No, you don't need to swap anything. First of all the G&G green hop rubbers are some of the best out there, and G&G higher end guns come with tightbores. Second of all....I've been running my Sig550 on stock parts for 7+ years.

Looks like G&G it is! I assume the receivers between the 550 and 553 are essentially the same, no? Also, is $485.96 a good price for the 553? Milsig has them for 10% off right now, and I can't find a better price anywhere.

No, there are other retailers that have lower prices, look harder.

One brand that was missed was ICS which makes all flavours of SIG as well. |

Ah right, I forgot about that. I looked at ICS, but I've sort of counted them out since they seem to have an issue where the bolt likes to fall out.. Unless this has been fixed, of course. If I was to go for one of their guns, I'd pick the 551, definitely.
