KJW Pistol Magazine Stuck

Newbie here needing some advice from the pistol veterans.

My KJW KP-06 Hi-Capa has been a great pistol, but I can't seem to solve the problem of the magazines not wanting to drop out when the mag release is fully pushed in. I've cleaned the magwell and mag release thoroughly, but both KJW magazines I have do not freely drop out when the mag release is pushed.

It often requires a relatively hard yank on the magazine base plate to get the magazine out.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Might require some filing.

If you've been using those mags for a bit, you might start to see wear marks on it where it rubs up against the well. Just take a file or gritty sand paper and remove a bit of material from those points until it slides freely.

Thanks for the insight everyone. I do see some areas where the mags rub against the magwell. I'll sand/file those areas a bit to see if it helps.

Thanks again!

Co2 or green gas?
If you left yer mags charged with gas then left them in the sun or in your car they could have swollen up. I had 2 mags from my gemtech oasis that did that.
For the most part KJW guns are a bit sloppy. My m9 mag rattles around even if it was swollen it would like drop out.

Both magazines are green gas and they were at room temperature.

I sanded down the areas that were rubbing and it seems to help a bit. I may need to sand a bit more to see if it slides in and out freely.
