BF-F8+ User Error.
Just got one of these great little radios from DeeJay as an early XMas gift.
Browsing through the settings, I managed to wipe it of presets. A significant amount of research later I learned how to manually input the freqs again, but there is some other info on the iOS app and chart that I don't know about. In the two attached images it's the right hand columns. What are they and do I need to input them too? If so, how? Last edited by siggypoo; December 12th, 2015 at 10:40.. |

BF-F8+ User Error.
Update:
So now I've been loaned a USB programming cable to use CHIRP for the radio. Had a heck of a time getting the drivers to install and run with either the disk softwares or with Chirp. Checked out the Device Mangler and found a yellow bang for that entry, Code 10. Looked at the hardware ID: Device ID : PL2303 Serial Port (USB\VID_067B&PID_2303) And researched PL2303; the USB-Serial chip that's in the cord. Got the original (and updated) driver from the manufacturer, and got the same error. When I read the instructional PDF, I got multiple warnings that if the Device Mangler shows that error, it's counterfeit. All the troubleshooting I've done for that bang have proven fruitless. So could anyone at least advise me of where I could get a quality USB-Serial cord for programming this radio? |
