what can i do? CM-16 Raider-L
Hey! I have a stock CM-16 Raider-L.
Just wanting to knowing what I can buy/get to upgrade the trigger or make the gun like super snappy? I would like it so its the same as my paintball gun almost, just the trigger response is super nice and I would like that for my airsoft gun as well. My gun is super slow in *semi-auto* and I don't use full auto. thanks! |

Check out the search button for lots of great info here in the forum. Look for info on mosfets and lipos seems to be the best way to go!

Higher speed gears, lipo, fet, motor. Depends how snappy you want. If you want gbbr like response youll want all those things. If you just want better than stock a lipo (fet reccomended) will do.

Make sure you familiarize yourself with how to take apart a gun and how it works if you haven't already. There are plenty of Youtube videos out there. This is key so that you don't make any mistakes and can fix compression, shimming, etc.
For a simple snappy response build, I would recommend: SHS 13:1 ratio gears A simple MOSFET SHS High Torque Motor A lipo battery + balance charger But like Hectic said, just a Lipo and MOSFET will make a HUGE difference too. Last edited by -Shade; June 5th, 2015 at 13:20.. |

Ill give my two examples now that im not working. I will include the full builds for ref.
first is a cyma mp5. Its still a v2 mech box Thus i include it. stock shell lonex red piston swiss cheased all to hell. (Maybe a 35-45% reduction) Shs 13:1's random pom piston head (prolly lonex) sorbo pad bearing spring guide Merf mosfet (3 wire install) M90 spring stock cyma motor 11.1v nanotech buffer tube lipo it gets ~28rps at 310fps next is an ar platform. Echo1 stag15 mfr12inch lonex shell lonex 16:1's lonex piston (minor weight reduction, maybe 20% Lonex pom piston head bearing spring guide sorbo stock spring (~400fps) Merf (3wire install) Airsoftstore mil spec wire (or whatever they call it. Nice wires anyhow.) Stock motor (prety sure its a jg blue, so its a tourque motor) Whatever random 11.1v lipo i grab that day lol shoots about 25rps at 400fps, still quite snappy. I have been asked if its a systema at geames more than once Just based on its sound and snappyness. lastly my most recent build. Its a vfc 417, so still v2 parts. lonex piston(only minor weight reduction) pom head sorbo stock spring (430fps ish) Shs13:1 gears Lonex red motor (high tourque high speed, bad ass, reccomended for expeirenced users) Merf with AB(still over spins/unwinds a bit on auto. But its a semi only gun at those velocities anyhow) 11.1 v 25-50c lipo over 30rps for sure, just havent had it on a chrony yet. The middle build i listed is probably more than you need, and you dont need the shell, or the piston or piston head if your stock ones are okay (ie strong plastic, like pom of fiber polymer, if they poly carb swap em polycarb will be clear/translucent Its forgiving enough with the 16:1 gears that you shouldnt need a motor (unlesss the stock one is craptastic) id say its a good beginer build cause you can mess up a lil on shimming or aoe and not destroy gears n piston n such in 1 trigger pull, with 13:1 and an outdoor spring youll for sure need a motor (unless yer stock one is high torque) and youll need near perfect shimmin, aoe and alot of tlc before final assembly and if you mess up you could easily strip gears or pre engage or both and kill yer gears and piston
