Skeleton Sidearms SS17 compatibility
I don't know if the SS17 is TM compatible or what it is compatible with. Please don't post rude or negative comments

Horrible quality tm clone
Skeleton sidearms appear to be copied from kjw designs (my ss p226 is, not sure about their glocks) so should be mostly tm compatable but low quality means fitment issues and broken parts down the road If you haven't already bought it, pass on it Buy something a bit better in quality and save some money in the long run |

Kwc only makes a spring Glock, well to my knowledge
but honestly I'd rather choose a we tech Glock 17/18 over it, you get what you pay for. Also please do get age verified so you get see the classified goodies

This may answer your question (I hope):
http://tag-4airsoft.blogspot.ca/2014...17-review.html So seems the magazines may be TM friendly but really nothing else.

The safest thing to do would be to get rid of it as fast as possible. Sell it before it breaks so you can recover some of your money and ask questions before buying next time. ;)

They're a great choice for people who don't have much money and don't want to play airsoft for very long.
They suck up that small amount of cash you have and then break in a manner that cant' be repaired so you don't need to play any more. It is definitely not compatible so buying one over time and "upgrading" it into a functioning TM pistol that can be gamed is as unlikely as buying a used toaster oven at a garage sale and upgrading it into a functioning car with spare parts. P.S. A Skeleton Sidearms review without negative comments is like a day without oxygen.

You may want to consider putting a KJW slide on it. (won't cost much) At least you will be able to trust the slide with all the guts being KJW. So spend just a little more on it and it might be ok.
I worked on one last year and discovered that the manufacturuer employs the use of dirty screws. That means .........screws that are not meant to be removed by the customer. I took apart the slide to access the the cylinder head on one and discovered that crappy surprise. The slide ended up as scrap and could not be fixed. I took it to a weapons tech friend of mine. He confirmed he could not fix it. The metal was too soft and the slide would have been ruined further anyway trying to remove the screw. As mentioned by someone else ....... Get AV'd. You are very well connected on ASC with help and stuff. And access to the classifieds. Lots of great stuff in there. Good luck. |

Very wise choice. KJW's G23 is quite a nice product.

Yup, a really nice piece of kit. I'm starting to enjoy KJW more and more.

Based on the PDF file of the SS17 manual, it is the same internal system as Stark Arms SA17. Should be both OEMed by VFC. So, internals are "partially compatible" to TM G17.
The magazine is compatible except I am not sure about the release valve and the required hammer spring strength. The sights are different. Slide also slightly different. I am not very sure about the blow-back assembly but I think they are slightly different. The slide rail part on the frame is very different. The hammer housing assembly is mostly the same. Recoil spring/spring guide unit is different but may be interchangeable.
