Outdoor Fields for Winter Play (near GTA)?

Hello fellow airsofters!

Lately, I have been searching through some outdoor paintball fields in southern Ontario, and have noticed a trend that in most places, any games (including airsoft), tend to end at fall.

For me, I find that playing in the winter environment brings quite an interesting edge to airsoft experience, and always wanted to try it, yet it seems that the fields I've searched through (walk-ins) have no winter play.

Does anyone know of any good (or bad; just something) outdoor fields (relatively) not far from the GTA that run winter games?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

(My apologies if a repost, or in the wrong section)

No one tends to run winter games. Mostly because most guns will not work outdoors in winter unless you have AEG's only and they need to be upgraded. Still it eliminates a large portion of the player base, so financially speaking its not wise. As well most airsoft players done want to be outside freezing and getting soaked, or wearing big bulky coats ect.

There are two indoor fields (one opening soon) in the GTA that specialize in AIRSOFT only game play. Playing at paintball fields is terrible IMHO.

If anything go get AGE VERIFIED and keep an eye on the games part of the forum. Somebody might throw a winter outdoor game at a real field (not a paintball one) so you need to keep an eye open for them.

Are your guns even capable of playing outdoors in freezing temperatures?

Pretty sure there are some private fields, but I recall Barrie Paintball or somewhere in Barrie runs winter games.

I like winter games just as much as any other season. Operators gonna operate in all conditions, not complain about the snow. I'd be interested in playing a winter game...then again it might just be the Finn in me lol.

You don't need to be age verified to view the games. But like daishi said, keep an eye out there. There's not going to be an outdoor "walk on" field for airsoft in the winter. An individual will need to organize a game day, and post about it here (or some other airsoft network), so you'll need to keep an eye out for it.

There's a field called DMZ Paintball in the Niagara area (Thorold, to be exact) that has public walk ons. They're open year round but only do airsoft on select days. Mondays in the summer, Sundays in the winter. It's a decent field and usually has around 15-20 players no matter when you go.

Thanks to everyone!

I find it a bit weird that in a such northern country as Canada, winter airsoft is not really popular (lot of my friends and relatives back in Eastern Europe keep bugging me about winter games), but I guess it makes sense since it's a hassle to prepare).

Time to prepare for winter operations!

Tho I don't game much now. But still remember I joined some of the winter game in Barrie and flagraider years ago. I was using AEG without any upgraded, only carried extra batteries, good enough for the day. It was so much fun. I was in white laying down on snow, an enemy walked by and didn't see me, then got shot by me. Same as in falls wearing multicam. In Canada, we can enjoy all four seasons for airsoft games. If you have different camo, get well prepare for the right weather, get enough energy(food), for sure you will love it and enjoy it. Sometimes I wish I could be younger 20 years. Lol....

If you want it, try it, go for it, you'll find out. If you never try it, you never know!

soooo coooold but I loved it

Looks absolutely fantastic! Can't wait now.

Also helps that I have a V3 box compared to V2... Hopefully won't break on me.
