Where to buy WE G17 Replacement Hop up.
Hello,
I bought a WE Glock 17 Gen 4. I can't remove the longer inner barrel because the one of the hopup screws stripped without much effort. Where can I buy a compatible replacement hop up unit? I've read conflicting posts about TM glock 17 hop ups fitting and not fitting WE g17. I checked a few Canadian e tailors and I can't find anything. This longer barrel is just stupid as half of it sticks out. |

I know the struggle...
When I bought mine, the longer barrel really pissed me off (since is looked really stupid), so I decided to change it for a shorter one (much more nicer and proper looking one) as soon as I got home (even though I had an exam to attend to the next day). All I can say, the hop-up screws on these G17 were tightened by the hand of God. Took a good 40 minutes, 2 people, 3 screwdrivers and a wrench just to get them off without stripping them... Sorry to hear it didn't work out. Take a look at AirsoftDepot, they might have something (usually by Wii). Also, in any case, EhobbyAsia (and other retailers i.e. RedWolf and Evike, etc) will most likely have the parts, and as far as I am concerned, it shouldn't be too troublesome to ship a unit to Canada. |

The hop-up chamber + outer barrel are two of the places that are different between TM and WE glocks. A TM chamber may not fit in a WE outer barrel, but can be modified to fit - if you really want to. Or just get a WE chamber. The hop-up rubber is the same.

They have thread lock in there. Use some heat from a heat gun or hair dryer will help a bit.

Wow, thank you so much both of you. It almost feels like the screw is glued in or something. I didn't even budge after 40 minutes of careful turning with 3 screwdrivers of various sizes.
