Xcortech new chrono/control system

Did a quick search, found nothing. Also didn't know where to place this, so feel free to move it to where it belongs.

Xcortech is about to release on the market it's new product, the x3300w. It's a complete suite to optimize your experience and do neat stuff. With a chronograph AND tracer hidden in a can, controlled by a PEQ-like box, it can give you many info on the fly. There's a BB counter for those that always wanted that kind of tech (I do ). The included control unit allows for burst fire, also controlled by the PEQ-box. Everything is wireless.

Preorder is 100$ on Evike. I really want one somehow, even if I would not use the control board.

Definitely interesting!
Would allow GBBr users to easily monitor increase or drop of velocity due to temp change or mag running out of gas

I'm definitely interested in this tech!

This is definitely something I'd be interested in! The chrono would be a good tool for troubleshooting. And the shot counter would be really useful - especially for us GBBR users with 30 rounds in the mag.

It'd also be really useful for training to keep track of your shots. You can practice trying to get a feel for how many rounds you have left in a mag, but you can never really be sure if you're keeping an accurate count, until your mag runs dry. Having a HUD would help that.

Hmmm.... you better bring this to the field just in case you're fps is showing higher on the field's 3200, but your 3300 measured lower at home.

Other than that, it looks like a good deal considering US$100.

I like the idea of a mock suppressor being used as a chrono a lot because of countless times I had a problem with chrono readings because of the bbs bouncing in the chamber.

It is an aftermarket item now. In the future it could be part of all airsoft guns.

I pre-ordered mine from evike and the total came out to $160 CAD because the exchange is terrible (.88) and shipping to Newmarket was $24 and the tax was $20. i still think it is worth it considering the x3300w saves me from buying a mosfet, tracer unit and a chorno which would be at least $200 for all 3.

I think I'll wait and browse eBay or some of the Asian discount sites for this.

I have to add a precision: The inline burst control chip doesn't protect in any way your trigger contacts, so you will still need to add a mosfet on your AEG. However, since you already have a burst system, any 25$ FET will do.

Would i be able to have two mosfets hooked up? Like the xcortech one for bursts and an active braking one?

The burst control part of this X3300W works in a way like a Burst Avocado: It has a MOSFET transistor (different from the MOSFET unit in airsoft sense) to turn the current on and off so it can do bursts, but the main current still go through the trigger contact, and arcing will still occour when you pull the trigger. (Probably not when you release the trigger after a completed burst)

I think they are using different methods to count shots during a brust, but when it comes to protect your trigger, they are the same.

It would certainly work fine with a basic ON/OFF MOSFET unit, which is just an ON/OFF switch.

For AB I am not that sure. The transistor on X3300W will break the circuit once the detector of X3300W counted enough shots in a brust, and there will be no more power to the motor. If the AB is faster than that, it will brake, if not then it probably wouldn't... Don't know since I never used AB MOSFET unit.
