Lightbulb MP7 AEP upgrading project & ideas

Hey all,

So I've been working on my buddies TM MP7 he picked up off the forums here. As most of you may know, the AEPs leave much to be desired in terms of FPS and ROF. I've been trying to come up with ways of increasing these reliably and I'm wondering if anyone here has any ideas.

Currently it has a full nineball kit + barrel installed, minus the spring. It is radius-ed and has a sorbo. It shoots about 260 -/+3 if I recall. ROF is a garbage 10 or so. Maybe 12 bps. It runs on a RC car 25c 900mah lipo in a battery box, since fitting it inside is the most tedious thing ever ever ever EVER. I've completely torn apart the trigger contacts to put in a picoSSR2 mosfet and the gun shoots quite crispi..ly?

SO. On to upgrade ideas. Obviously for higher FPS I need a stronger spring since compression is pretty good for that little thing. Shitty motor power blah blah blah comments aside, I have no idea how to increase it beyond 300-320. The nineball or MAG 130% spring I'm considering putting in, but it still isn't enough. I'm looking for 340-350, for indoor and outdoor use. Could I use some sort of spacer to compress the spring? Maybe put more bearing rings on the spring guide?

The motor now is a whole other story... It's definitely needed to pull a heavier spring and increase ROF at the same time. There are zero AEP motor upgrades on the market for airsoft, so I've resorted to the RC community. The problem with their motors is that their shafts are far too short, but according to the mighty wisdom of google and youtube, I can replace the shaft with some tough work. (sub in the marui motor shaft for the RC shaft) There are MANY powerful RC motors that have the exact dimensions as the Marui AEP motor, so that won't be a problem to find one at least. Are there any simpler ways to do this though? I don't really want to use an 11.1v either at this time. Maybe later.

So that was a long rant. I know it's probably a long shot, but does anyone have any experience customizing any sort of AEP like this that can chime in. This is going to be a fun project if it's realistic. So yeah - tips, ideas? More ways to re-enforce the gearbox?
