Ghetto M4 build-off challenge

Ok, you have two lightly used AEG's to work with, a cybergun full metal M4 RIS "Colt" and a G&G GR16 Carbine light.
On top of that you have a working budget of $200

Challenge: Using the two donor guns and the limited budget, list what you would do to get the best build you could.

Extras include: Magpul retractable stock, Eotech 552, 11.1v 1600MaH 20c lipo stick, vertical grip

GO!

Sell the two rifles and get a better one? jk jk
Do you want to upgrade both rifles or use both to build one?

why replace things that don't need replacing? For less than 50$ in parts you can get the air seal perfect or near perfect, and have AoE corrected. Another 30$ will have a 3034 mosfet with a poly fuse. That's like 2 hours to put in, add another hour and it will be shimmed.

Thats basically what I was thinking. As for the post in general, its more of a hypothetical exercise based on an actual situation more than a "what-should-I-do" question.

Im more curious to hear some different takes on build strategies, (maybe learn a thing or two in the process) than anything. Selling both and simply "buying" something trick is great...but I get a kick out of building stuff, and when someone goes "Hey...nice M4, what is it...VFC? KWA?" when I built the thing from a shit pile of parts and some spare change, I'll have a much bigger smile on my face than the guy next to me shitting bricks becasue he got some dirt on his $2000 PTW.

well I'd do some investigating to see which of the two you have is nicer and go from there.. sell the other one and use the funds to go nuts on the one you keep... quite frankly if I were putting a gun together for myself, it's a full gut, even on new guns.

If you've ever seen either of my AEGs you'd know why I want a full gut. You can't go from what I have to anything close to stock. It's painful having to wait half a second for a gun to do something after you've pulled the trigger. :P

LOL!...I think you've spoiled yourself bro. But I get it...Im the same with bikes. Ya get used to a high standard and its hard to go back.

Anyway...its looking like the CYbergun is actually a KA under license, and if thats the case, Im more than fine with it. That said it also states a 453FPS....a little on the hot side so I think a new spring might be in order. I dunno...well see, I have yet to pick them up.

If it states 453 FPS stock and Cybergun, it may be with 0.12g.
Chrono to make sure before doing a spring change.
