Hey Gents looking to add a back up AK to the arsenal...
What would you say the best tactical AK is out of the box (reliability and performance) Thanks! |

Best AK out of the box is Real Sword however it would take a little to make the 56-2 "tactical". Best tactical AK out of the box would be an LCT they have a few different configurations. http://www.lctairsoft.com/aeg_list.htm
An AK can easily be made "tactical" by changing the handguard. Last edited by Kozzie; November 4th, 2013 at 22:00.. |

Held a Beta Project the other day, felt a little cheap TBH and I don't know about the internals, but it sure does look nice tho!

Keeping my eye on this upstart company. I wouldn't trust Echo one, I had a rebranded APS from their redstar line and it was total shit. LCT is best bet currently out of box. Beta project is cheap heck lancer tactical is starting to sell beta projectish guns. Last edited by Kingsix; November 4th, 2013 at 23:41.. |

I'm looking at the newer steel versions CYMAs. I've heard and read good things about them and they are very good price compared to LCTs. I'm running RealSwords and LCTs but might get a CYMA just to check it out. With the money you can save, just buy some Lonex parts and it'll be golden.

I have a client's CYMA AK-74 right beside my personal Kalash AK-74.
One has a broken stock one doesn't. The hint is the full steel one has a better stock. LCT > CYMA I should do a comparison review one of these days. |

Real swords are so so so nice. Lct is next on the list as far as quality goes. But there have been some fairly decently priced cyma brand AK's that have come out, cheaper price for cheaper gun.

What exactly makes LCT any better than CYMA 40 series internally?
From what i've looked at, basically the cylinder head with double o-rings are the advantage. LCTs still have plastic spring guides and clear pistons (could just be the internals im looking at tho) Cyma has a bearing spring guide, comparable gearsets and a lot of their shit looks exactly the same as LCT by appearance. The motor that also comes with the 40series of CYMAs seems to be an improvement as well, better magnets, ROF and torque. Reading through google and several posts on ASC some will attest that the CM030 AK74u was the work horse of AKs that lasted years without even a peak inside. Edit: Now that I just remembered, the CYMA I bought also has an improved hop up sleeve very similar to the PDI-W Hold. Last edited by Rabbit; November 5th, 2013 at 10:24.. |
