Systema PTW hop up tool compartment idea

I got into PTW's about a year ago and recently picked up a hop up tool. I had always found it the idea of the tool very annoying because i'd have to fish around for it in my general purpose pouch when i needed it.

Some of you may have already figured this out but for those who haven't, here's a quick way to make a nice compartment for the tool without ever having to worry about losing it.

Things you'll need:
1) Systema PTW crane stock
1) standard plastic pen
2) duck tape or any kinda of thick tape
3) scissors
4) ruler

Step 1:
Taking off the butt plate, you'll see this hole at inside the stock

Inside this hole, you'll see the spring and guide for the adjustment latch. Putting the tool straight in, you'll notice that the tip of the tool will contact the spring and guide everytime you adjust the stock. Not only that, the extra space allows the tool to move freely inside the stock which could damage the tool and also cause the annoying rattling noise.

In pic above you can see the tool inside the stock.

Step 2:
Take the pen apart and cut both ends of the body so it has a length of approximately 8.5cm. Mine has already been cut and shimmed.

Step 3:
Using the tape, shim the pen to prevent it from rattling inside the stock. Feel free to add some tape on the hop up tool to prevent it from wobbling when inside the pen body.

Also wrap one end of the pen to prevent it from jamming up the spring and guide.

Step 4:
Stick the pen inside the hole and...

voila, you now have a compartment for the tool. The tool will fit inside perfectly and no rattling noise!

It is easier to just go buy an RC hex key driver ( the green one) if you need ti carry one on you.

I keep it in my gear, and I have not had to pull one out and use it on the field and use it in years. Set your hopup before you play. Not to mention most guys ditch the crane stock for something anyways.

Solution looking for a problem.
