best aeg brands

Not counting used Systema , FCC and Real Swords, I was asked what the best brands of AEG costing around $500 would be. ALL i could think of were TM , VFC, ICS, KWA and maybe G&P. What would you add to the list and were would you put it in the line-up?

what are you conditions for best?

Some guns have better externals but shit internals... others have reasonable externals but highly compatible exact spec internals and mounting points for internal components.

I think what he meant~ better internals over externals- tight grouping, dependable- out of the box performance

I would throw King Arms, Classic Army, G&G and Lonex into that mix.

Perhaps removing kwa from it for aeg's. I don't mind them, but not heavily experienced with them. They are not a favorite brand (hated really) over on airsoft mechanics for being very proprietary internally & meh kwa branded externals.. $0.02

Definitely CYMA and D-boys for certain models, such as AKs.

kwa has some weird offspec components that have no upgrades like the nozzle from what I understand.

I'll shit on TM half as much as I shit on PTWs... not worth the price in canada after upgrading them to field spec, you still have a plastic bodied gun and an unreinforced potmetal gearbox that will more than likely crack.

Almost all the clone brands have surpassed TM in gearbox strength.

If the hop is what makes them legendary, you can achieve it by buying the TM hop unit separately an installing it into the other TM spec gun of your choice for far less money that the TM. At this point, buying a TM rifle is for the sake of buying a TM rifle, not because of its performance. TM has given us TM spec, AEG and hopup, and that's what is important about them. As a modern brand outside japan, unless you can get it for cheap, is not worth it.

I respectfully disagree. The aforementioned AK-specific brands (LCT, VFC, RS) are ahead of those ACM brands by miles.

Did you try the new High Cycle TM?

Ie: 1500 rpm at 300 fps with TM accuracy and reliability with a 2 cell lipo or 8.4v battery.

The rof provide a trigger response like a gbbr, which is amazing!

And it use the standard mag, but high cap can t keep up

This thread has gone that way, once again like all it's predecessors.

The best brand is the one that builds the AEG that you want in your price range and that's available in Canada.

For some people that best brand is Crossman. For others it's Systema.

Realsword for externals at least
I'm not too aware of their internals though

I wouldn't say VFC and LCT are ahead by miles, RS is external wise. As for the TM high cycle, 25 RPS isn't hard when the guns shoot at such a low FPS.

25 rps on an 8.4 is pretty easy to achieve especially at 300 fps. Either by faster gear ratio or faster motor.. since it requires so little torque to turn over the m80/90 springs in the stock TM, a faster gear ratio will get 25 rps easy.

You can lego build 30rps these days without much trouble, my p90 is proof of that.
