G&G F2000 Gearbox
Hello all,
Does anyone know what kind of cylinder head the G&G F2000 uses? Is it proprietary? It has a V6 (hybrid I think) gearbox. I bought a modify V6 head, assuming that it would be compatible, but it is not. The nozzle tube on the end is lower than the P90 head by at least a few millimetres. There is a lack of good info on this topic online. Hopefully someone here knows what I could do. I'm itching to complete this EDIT: For anyone who is curious, all my research and comparisons of cylinder heads has led me to believe that the F2000 uses a proprietary part for this. if the nozzle tube on your stock cylinder head is dead center that's a v2/v3 head. If it's super long then it's a g36 head.

Definitely not dead center. It's pretty much at the halfway point between center and the top. 75% of the way :P Lower than an M14 and P90 nozzle. IT'S WEIRD. :/

Contact G&G to get a part. Their aftermarket support is extremely good. Just tell them what part numbers and they'll get them for you.

I wonder if they'll tell me if it's a proprietary part. Or if there are after market items available, lol. Msg sent. We'll see whatthey say. I'm just not afan of the singular O-ring cylinder head. It doesn't feel like it would seal to well.

nothing wrong with single o ring... use teflon tape to snug it up.

Most cylinder heads are single o-ring, and they do just fine.....

I think I'll try the teflon tape because this one just feels too loose in the sense that it moves around really easy. Do you wrap the cylinder head once around? Should there be lubricant on the Orings before this is done?

Looking at this review, it appears quite a few of the parts in your gearbox may be proprietary.
http://forums.zeroin.co.uk/showthrea...0-G2010-Review Like said before, if you have a V2, the nozzle is dead centre. If it's a V7, like mine, it should be between the two flanges at the bottom. If your V6 doesn't fit your only option may be to go to G&G.

Is it ok to mix silicon oil/grease with teflon tape?

I don't see why not, but I've never used either, so don't quote me on that.
Just don't mix duct tape and White Lithium. It creates this sticky, water-repellent gum that FUBARs everything it comes into contact with. Impossible to get off save using a blowtorch.

just wrap the the tape right over the oring and depending on how loose.. 2 times around maybe? basically until it holds compression when you put your thumb over the nozzle end and push the piston in the cylinder.
just make sure to neat it up so the tape doesn't hang out into the cylinder or block the holes on the cylinderhead.

I received a reply from G&G. It was a surprise:
Hi Mike, Thank you for your email. It’s not a special part, it’s for V6 gearbox. If you could not find the replacement in your country, you could purchase from us directly. If you have any problem, please feel free to let me know. Thank you and have a nice day. Doesn't really make sense because the modify V6 piece does not line up with the inner barrel/hopup -_- I wonder... are the V6 and the P90 V6 different? the p90 IS the v6.. I would put the g&g side by side with the modify, take a picture and send it to g&g
