Aftermarket Grips on VFC SCAR

So I bought a Magpul pistol grip for my VFC SCAR, under the assumption that VFC SCARs accepted normal pistol grips. It turns out that because the gearbox sits a bit higher in the receiver, there is a big gap between the top of the grip and the gearbox. Using longer screws won't work, because the motor cannot seat high enough in the grip to make the gun work.

Do they make VFC SCAR compatible grips? I'd rather not butcher my grip to make it fit.

Yes I've read that thread, along with others on other forums.
As I said I'm looking to see if they make one, because I'd rather not butcher my grip to do it. I'd already sanded off material from the back of the grip to make it fit on the receiver before I realised the screws wouldn't go in. To make it work I'd have to remove the top of the grip and reattach it, which would make the grip fragile.

Just sanding the front of the grip will not work. You'd have to sand the front and the top so the screw holes line up, chamfer the edge, remove most of the rear of the grip because it already sits too high, and once you're done you're stuck with half a Magpul PTS logo on the top of the grip because you've sanded the rest off.

I'm still curious for an answer myself - situations like this get kind of shitty because it can affect how the pinion gear on your motor meshes with your gearbox internals - which in turn can cause some heavy wear and tear down the road and eventual failure.

I have a teammate who hates his VFC stock pistol grip.

I always thought people were being little bitches complaining about a pistol grip, but last game my hand was sore because I was too used to the large grips on my other guns. The original grip is made very well, the ergonomics just aren't for me because I have big hands.

I tried using longer screws, and the motor wouldn't even go in far enough to contact the bevel gear.
