Need advice..
Long story short
I got a gun (G&G GR-16), no inner barrel & no hopup and I need to fix that! Inner barrel 363mm but my silencer adds 200mm to the outter barrel Metal hopup What should I buy? I prefer accuracy but I heard 6.01 tightbores causes alot of jams.. Is it true? Should I go with a longer tightbore? Thanks for helping me! |

20 centimeters of silencer?? Well that's a big silencer.
For the barrel, I've read a lot of good things about 6.03 accuracy, so you should look into that. You have to decide if you want to keep the silencer on or off, and find the length you want based on this. Get any "common" length that fits inside that value. Personally, I would not buy a super long barrel, but that's me. For brands, you have a lot of choice, the higher end being Prometheus right now, judging from what I read. Lonex also makes a high end barrel of that length, and I've never heard anything bad about Lonex. For the no how-up, do you mean no bucking, or no hop-up assembly? If you need the whole assembly, it will depend on the compatibility of the gun, but if you need the bucking only, it's 5-10$ and relatively easy to install on the inner barrel. the hopup and inner barrel float in the outer in most guns or are attached to the gearbox but still float in the outer barrel. With no inner barrel, it's probably likely he has no hopup unit.
If you ever wish to take your silencer off, you need a shorter barrel, otherwise your inner will just stick out. Depending what cylinder came with that gun, you could probably get a 380-400mm barrel without an issue.. but if you don't have the right cylinder ,then your fps will suffer with a longer barrel. Up to you how you want to deal with it. I'd recommend just sticking with a 383mm barrel and run the silencer as a tacticool feature. If you really want to put a longer inner in, make sure there's enough length outside to cover it. If the barrel is too long it sticks out the end or is right at the end of the silencer and if you put it in the dirt, you'll fuck up the inner barrel good and have to clean it mid game. 6.03 is the diameter of barrel that seems to be most consistent. 6.01s do jam if they get dirty.

No hopup at all xD I was thinking about Madbull 6.03mm Black Python Ver.2 Tight Bore Barrel for M4/SR16 AEG (407mm)
Silencer will stay since I lost the birdcage and got used to it. For the hopup I really dont know which one to get since no one has the Prommy NEO in stock Last edited by Beeny; March 18th, 2013 at 17:45.. |

The two places I can recommend are AirsoftStore.ca and AirsoftParts.Ca. I mention both so I am impartial.
Now, AirsoftStore.ca have the Lonex 363mm inner barrel and M4/M16 hop-up assembly in store right now. Add a 5.50$ rubber and you're all set. Hop-Up Unit Hop-Up Rubber (This one is the 70 hardness) Inner Barrel This is assuming the GR-16 is TM compatible there, I'd need someone else to confirm. This will help you in deciding what is the maximum inner barrel length you can use

You probably want to go with the 50 degree. I'm assuming you're at or under 400fps. From my experience it just seals a bit better and is generally easier to work with.
http://www.airsoftstore.ca/index.php...products_id=78 Madbull barrels are good too, I run them in some of my guns. |
