Looking to get a new gun.

Hey so ive already got a JG m16, but im looking to get a gun thats a little better, and more powerful. Is this gun alright? -

http://www.torontoairsoft.com/CYMA-A...od_p_2466.html

Im currently trying to get age verified too so hopefully i can find something i like on there if this ak isnt a suitable option.

I read that the CYMA quality is pretty good, and with some upgrades it can be a good reliable gun? My price range is around 300-400 and i know thats not alot when it comes to a good quality gun but looking for something hopefully within that price range that i can upgrade

I also seen some decent DBOYS m4s that are within my price range, but not sure on the quality and reliability of them

Just got a CYMA AKM myself and it's more then reliable. I've played one or two small forest games and its a trooper. Tho it shoots hot out of the box and needs to be downgraded. This thing is built like a truck, sturdy on all parts and it's full metal with wood. Tho the wood could be better but its amazing. Thing shoots out far and stays true. No real problem with mine. Tho once you get AV'd you can see acouple more retailers out there that might have abit better gun in the long run.

Awesome, it sounds pretty good. Is it complicated to downgrade the fps? Also i was checking out this JG MP5, can anyone let me know how this would be for a good new gun? Id probablly pickup a new battery and smart charger for it but other than that would it be a good choice?

I got a G&G M4. the TR15 Carbine as my starter ($350). Great realiable, fun gun. My gf has the GR15 which is $250 but comes with the poly body and RIS. If your into the M4 platforms they are definitely worth a look.

ak47 and akm are a tad different. The AKM is abit bigger and "newer" style ak where the 47 is based off the first run of the gun. If you plan on getter a new battery and charger. Most people upgrade the AKM battery to a 9.6v. A Place in the states has a 9.6v nunchuck which fits great in the gun for 29$ IT COMES WITH A 30$ smart charger as a package at the moment. I would suggest holding both styles of the gun. As a bigger guy the AKM fits perfect for me and is still a tad on the heavy side but I can move with it nicely. A friend of mine uses a G&G m4 and swears by it for a starter gun.

Thats right they shouldnt bebposting links to guns outside of the av'd section.
At the OP the JG m16 you have probably shoots 400fps alrdy. Sk "mord powerfull" isnt really an option if you want to play at any games with it.
Also of note more powerfull isnt going to give you more range or accuracy.
Try heavier bbs thatll make a huge difference.
Cyma isnt any beter then JG/echo1 or G&G thise are all low/mid grade guns if you want something bete quality wise then your JG save some more money.
Think of it like a car. All tue cars in the 20-25grand range are about the same all the cars in the 50-60grand range are about the same right now in your price range you are tryin to compare hyundias to kias its all the same shit.
Save up some more cash 5-600 bucks and buy a gun in that range if you want something beter all the 2-300 doller guns will all be of simaler quality.
Buy a VFC or a TM or hell save up 3grand and buy a FCC systema.
If you keep spending 2-300 on guns youll keep getin the same quality.
What is it you dont like about the jg m16?
It is a good gun for the money i run JG echo1 and cyma guns for the most part in my arsenal and they are all good fieldable guns. Sometimes with a bit of tweaking like hop up rubbers and such

It's a CM-036 model, I wouldn't get it, the newer CYMA AKs (CM-04X) are much better than their predecessors. Do a search on the CM-040/CM-048 series on ASC and Red Alliance. As well, D-boys AKs are surprisingly good according to Reviews on Red Alliance and are usually priced cheaply so you might want to do a forum search on Red Alliance on the RK-01/02 rifles. Both the CM-04X and RK-01/02 rifles have steel bodies instead of pot metal bodies and are clones of the VFC design so they feature realistic take down which is superior to the TM style of AK.

No its not bigger the difference is the angle of the stock and a flash hider and in more realistic airsoft versions the reciver on an akm will be riveted to resemble the real thing.
Also of note would be that a 47 should have a wood grip and a akm should have a "plastic" grip cant recall that type of plastic its called.

Real life diffrences here^
AKM

Ak47

CYMA is shit. Don't buy it. Given your budget, throw in a few extra dollars and get a KWA or VFC. Even G&G will do. If you know how to do gun work, get a CA and change the piston/piston head combo, and the hop up rubber and you're golden.

lol you seem to be set on getting ACM guns even though theres nothing wrong with that, but externally you can do so much better with a VFC or G&P for that price range.
